I hate to have a defeatist attitude, but I'm not going to be able to get this one done. I PR'd my clean&jerk a couple weeks ago... and it was 75lbs. I also have never been successful at toes to bar. So, it looks like it's a zero for me on this one! But I'm still going to give it a try, and I'll know what to work on for…

I Crossfit 3-4 times a week, and try to supplement that with running 1-2 times a week.

I'm right there with you! I get so disappointed sometimes that I can't lift more! Just remind yourself that you keep making improvements! Rome wasn't built in a day, you know?
-
I PR'd my back squat and my deadlift last week!
-
That's so great! Way to go!

Crossfit!

Been Paleo for six months. I love it and will probably make this a lifestyle! Go check out the Primal/Paleo groups for more info! :)

I have been doing Crossfit for a year now, and I absolutely love it. I have definitely gained muscle and toned up! Make sure you listen to your body. Pushing yourself is what Crossfit is all about, but make sure you listen to the trainers and ask for help if you feel uncomfortable/unsure about a movement. Form is key!…

Me, too! I swear by my cookbooks and sites like PaleOMG and Nom Nom Paleo.

Last night, it was Grilled Curry Shrimp, guacamole and steamed green beans.

I only made it to 110 wall-balls. I normally WOD with an 8-10lb. medicine ball, so the 14lb. ball was a struggle. I'm just glad I made it to at least 100!

Nothing this week... but a couple weeks ago, I hit myself in the face with the bar three days in a row. Twice in the chin while doing push jerks, and once in the nose while doing a thruster. I guess it's good that I'm keeping the bar close to my body, but I really need to quit hitting myself in the face.

I usually make my own (http://www.primalpalate.com/recipe/balsamic-vinaigrette/), but Steve's Original sells a line of dressings called "Paleo Chef". I've only tried one flavor, but it's a good option if you don't want to make dressings. http://stevesoriginal.com/cart/Paleochef

This is true. Toxins are stored in the fat, so try to stick to grass-fed/free range/organic meats.

I had about 5 days of the carb-flu (headaches and fatigue). It took about two full weeks for my body to adjust in total. Best of luck on your paleo journey!

Can't do a single one! There are quite a few folks at the box that can do bar and ring muscle-ups, though. It's pretty impressive.

I took some pistachios, nitrate free lunch neat, apples, almond butter, veggies and guacamole for snacks on my recent drive to Florida and back (12 hours each way).

I've been going 4x a week with some running/cardio another 1-2 days a week. 4 times a week is almost too much for me, because my body doesn't get much rest and is always sore. I'm thinking about scaling back to 3 times a week....

I don't worry too much about salt now. Since cutting out most processed foods, I know my salt consumprton has gone WAY down. I salt my foods freely, because I love salt!

Salad with lots of veggies and a couple slices of bacon. I usually top it off with guacamole or homemade balsamic vinaigrette.

Just as I suspected, I scored a zero because I could not get that 75lbs. over my head and locked out. So discouraging. I did manage to get one up there (a test run before the WOD), which was a PR for me... so at least there was a little bit of good news today.

I do it more per day or more like every couple of days. Like one day I'll have a piece for cheese, and a few days later I'll have a glass of milk. I haven't had a full cheat meal in months.
-
My box doesn't talk Zone, but they casually recommend Paleo.

I've been Primal/Paleo for six months, and I love it! I had been trying to lose 15 pounds for years, and when I started Crossfit and added in paleo... the weight just slid off! I also eat my fair share of nitrate-free bacon and free-rage chicken thighs. The higher fat content hasn't been a problem for me, because I watch…

I'm right there with you. My max push press is about 55lbs. and my max jerk so far is about 65lbs. If I can get through the first five reps at 75lbs., It will be a miracle! Good luck tonight! I know I'll need all the luck I can get!
-
Well, 13.1 kicked my butt! I only got to 100 reps... but at least I tried, right? Have I mentioned that I loathe burpees? : )
-
I've been Crossfitting for about a year, but I can only Rx about 20% of the moves.... but I signed up for the Open anyway. I know I'm not a real "competitor", but maybe it will be fun (and by "fun" I mean hard/painful). : )

I'm leaving on a road trip tomorrow. I'm packing a cooler to take on the road. I have made Paleo Chili and packed it in a couple small bowls. I figured most gas stations will have a microwave I can use. I've made some Paleo lemon-blueberry muffins and packed nuts, apples and almond butter for snacks.
-
I just signed up, and I'm scared! I have to scale quite a few things, so I won't really be competing. I guess it's just a good way to see where I'm at.
