  • Super sets are when you do two workouts back to back without taking a rest. For example, bicep curls and tricep extensions. If you are doing three sets of 15 reps, you would do one set of biceps, one of triceps, one of biceps, one of triceps, one of biceps, and one of triceps. No rest in between the sets. It's a great…

  • Now that I'm Paleo, I don't count calories as strictly as I used to, but I do try to stay within 1500-1800 calories a day. This site also helps me to track my carb/sugar intake. Best of luck on your Paleo journey!

  • Thank you so much for posting!
  • I don't like working out in shorts, and I am usually in Nike, UA or Fila fitted capris. On top, it's usually a long tank (Nike, UA, etc.) or a cheap-o t-shirt (I love Target's $10 graphic tees). As for undies, I usually wear Under Armour's boy shorts or thongs.

  • this is the kind I have, and they are great!
  • I have not met Fran yet, but she sounds like a horrible woman! I met Barbara for the first time last week, and I sure didn't like that b*tch very much.

  • I've been Crossfitting for 11 months, and I still ahve to modify a lot of things... and my burpees are awful! Try not to get discouraged. You are working hard and some of this stuff takes a long time to master. OHS are particularly challenging for a lot of people. The form is difficult to get and it's best to start out…
  • 50-100g is ideal for weight loss. I try to stick to 75g or less.
  • Butter is okay on Paleo, but look for grass-fed butter. Kerrygold is a great brand. Ghee is also a good option that is considered Paleo. It's clarified butter. Here's an article on butter: http://paleodietlifestyle.com/the-many-virtues-of-butter/

  • I usually buy Applegate Farms or Hormel Natural Choice lunch meats. Hormel Natural Choice is sold in a lot of grocery store chains (like Target, HEB, etc.). Any brand that is uncured / nitrate-free is great for Primal.
  • Last night, the WOD was 100 OHS with 10 burpees every two minutes. 100 OHS was even harder than it sounded! My arms, wrists, shoulders, and legs are ridiculously sore!
  • Glad to hear you are enjoying Crossfit so far! It'll turn into an obsession before you know it! : )
  • This!!
  • I saute' a lot of spinach and cabbage. I also steam green beans and broccoli a lot. I also try to sneak my veggies into stuff, such as putting a lot of veggies into my eggs in the morning (usually spinach, peppers, onions, etc.).
  • That's awesome! I lost ten pounds in two weeks when I went Primal/Paleo. I had been trying to lose that ten pounds for MONTHS while counting calories. I think I'm a life long convert to Paleo now.

  • I'm not offended, but it's kind of dumb.
  • I'm a student (and military), so the price with the discount is $100/month unlimited. I think the regular price is $135.00
  • I got over my fear of 20 inch box jumps last week. I hurt myself doing box jumps earlier last year, and had a mental block about them... until last week. Yay!
  • I like Fight Gone Bad. We did Clovis at our box once, and it was the worst thing EVER!!
  • I'm currently 80% Paleo, 100% of the time. : )
  • Lonestar Crossfit in San Antonio, TX.
  • I Crossfit 3-4 times a week, then I try to supplement that with running and walking. I don't do many long cardio sessions anymore, but I will run for 20-30 minutes a couple times a week since I'm trying to train for a 5K.
  • Usually 3 times per week, MWF. Sometimes I'll add in one more day.. I work on my running on the days I don't Crossfit.
  • As for grocery shopping, I love Trader Joe's! They've got great prices on their organic stuff. If you have one in your area, I recommend checking it out. As for snacks, I love nitrate-free lunch meats with mustard, apples and almond butter, guacamole, dry roasted almonds, etc. There are some phone apps (Like Paleo GoGo)…
  • I do the same.
  • Thanks for sharing! I'm totally looking it up!
  • I bought Reebok Nano 2.0's a few weeks ago. So far, so good!
