  • Two tablespoons of EVOO is 250 calories raw or cooked. That seems like a lot of calories to just forget about. I agree fully that it's beneficial, but still.
  • I log these to get the other items in like fiber and carbs, etc.... I know they're negligible for calories though in normal amounts.
  • I don't eat it. I get the justin's version of it. It's a bit more pricy but waaaaay better for you. With that being said, on toast or off the spoon, crackers, from finger.. however it can be ingested.

  • When you create your profile on MPF it asks for your height, weight, gender and how much weight a week you want to lose. Based on that info it calculates your caloric need with the deficit built in to lose the weight WITHOUT EXERCISE CALCULATED IN. This is why when you enter your exercise it has you eat the calories back.…
  • Go to the app store of your choice. I have an android so in the android market I typed "myfitnesspal" in the searchbox and it came up. free download. In the app when you go to "add meal" there's an option to use a barcode scanner to the right of the box you type your food name in. Click it, then the camera comes up and you…
  • Do what you feel is right for you. Eating back calories has some give depending on your body composition. I eat mine back because my deficit is built into my profile and I'd rather my weight loss be as little lean mass as possible.
  • You better get to it then.
  • A couple of calories like that likely won't hurt... I mean, who is to say that the half cup of "whatever" is really 125 calories, or that your body really burns 400 calories while running... It's all estimates. I think you're good.
  • This very true and very sad.
  • I find nothing wrong with this at all.
  • I think the point here is to stop worrying about what everyone else thinks and what everyone else is doing. If you're not sure if eating exercise calories back, then try it and see if it works. If it doesn't work then go back to what you were doing or try something different. Too many people are too worried about what…
  • It's not awkward for me to say "no thanks" at all. I don't have a problem with it and it's not my problem if they do. It's my plan, my body and I want to hit my goal. No one cares about your plans/body/goals like you do.
  • 7:45 single mile.
  • Silly question here, but why can't you just put the HRM on, then go to sleep rather than workout? It may not tell you your calories but you'd still be able to get the heart rate data saved for viewing in the morning wouldn't you?
  • I usually find myself being too conservative with my guesswork. After weighing the food I usually get more than I would have guessed. So yay!
  • I do everything as close to barefoot as possible. Barefoot, Vibram fivefingers, merrell trail gloves. I only wear traditional shoes with suits or when steel toed shoes are required I've never had any issues weight training or otherwise.
  • Helps only if you're trying to make a lower weight class for a match.
  • You're exactly right, but we're not talking about you. I'm speaking to her directly, who was seeing gains in her body composition in measurable, tangible ways, but opted to deprive her body of nutrients it was using properly to get those gains just to see the scale drop. Sure doesn't seem like the most healthy choice IMO.…
  • I weigh every day after handling my "business" and before any intake of food/drink. I can deal just fine with the daily fluctuations and like to review the previous day when I see a large spike. Most times it's water weight due to over-sodium.
  • So your scale weight is more important than being healthy and fit? You said you were losing inches and clothes fit better. Who cares what the scale says, you're becoming more fit and losing body fat% and that's what it's all about. People put WAY TOO MUCH stock in the scale number.
  • I count it all. I typically use olive oil for any cooking I do. Sure it's higher calorie but olive oil is pretty darn good for you.
  • I fry eggs sometimes in olive oil, sometimes with a little butter. Make em how you want, log what you're eating. If it fits in your log and allowance then ENJOY!

  • If you open your diary you'll get better responses.
  • Did you also tell your trainer that MFP has a deficit built into what it calculates your daily caloric intake should be? )This is assuming you did the setup to lose weight and not maintan when you started this using the site.)
  • Sorry, forgot you're way cooler than me. I'll keep that in mind.
  • It was specifically called the a flat belly dessert. IT was chocolate cake mix, greek yogurt, water, strawberries, blueberries and shavings of dark chocolate. It looked really good though.

  • Please remember though. If the store offers the gait analysis for free consider making a purchase there. If everyone gets the free analysis there and gets a shoe recommendation then goes online ot make a purchase that service they provided you will disappear when they eventually go out of business. Please consider the…

  • The running store we go to here has the gait analysis free. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A good pair of shoes will run around $100 give or take a few dollars. Go to the yellow pages or google in your area for "running shoes". Here they're typically in strip malls, and the "regular" mall has one or two. These are the "fancy"…
