I personally think that is not enough calories for anyone, especially a 30 year old male. I am a 30 year old female and I won't go that low and I have lost over 80 pounds.

I am doing a similar diet... started today! Called the 8 hour diet, works similar to the 5:2, same action on the body (intermittent fasting) I am in!

The only way I have ever lost anything close to 10-14 pounds in two weeks was a strict Atkins diet. To the letter (the inducition diet portion) its not easy but it works. Most people struggle to keep the weight lost off after though.

All the nutritionists at Lifetime fitness swear by it. I'm trying to cut carbs with lack of nutrition too. It's hard!! I have lost 6 pounds since Jan 1 this way!

I have lost 80 pounds. My tattoos still look the same! I have a huge one on my thigh and one on my calf. I hope that helps.
