Y'all can add me as a friend if you like. I came back to MFP after an unplanned hiatus, and back to trying to lose weight and get in shape. I need people to kick me in the pants every now and then.
-
Count me in. I need the help and encouragement too!
-
Pick yourself up and get back on the horse. You *can* do this.
-
We're also figuring that we'll provide impetus for each other to keep doing it. This sort of thing is easier in a group.

Coming back to MFP after an unintended break. Can use all the friends I can get for motivation & support.

1. Don't buy them. 2. Don't let anyone else buy them for you. Squeeze a lemon into club soda and make your own fizzy lemonade. Figure out what it is that appeals and then look for something that tickles that feeling that has fewer calories.

Welcome! I'm back after a long hiatus, so basically starting over. Stuff that's worked for me: 1. Log everything you eat and all the exercise you do. 2. Don't beat yourself up for backsliding. 3. Everyone is different and what works for you won't necessarily work for everyone else. 4. Portion control helps.

Welcome to MFP, and SUCCESS in your fitness journey! It's not just about weight loss, but about over-all fitness.

Not me. I wouldn't be able to function. I did, however, cut down on how much creamer I put in my coffee.

Am stuck as well - gained back everything I lost, and got completely off track. Logging here helps tremendously - but you have to be absolutely honest about portions and so on. Good luck, friend. Add me if you want moral support.

I'm here during the week, not so much on weekends. But I'll be happy to cheer on anyone who friends me.

I can't speak for gluten, but aspartame will trigger a blinding migraine for me. Giving up diet sodas helped a great deal with that.

She agreed to marry me.

Anyone remember the Terry Schiavo case from a few years back? That convinced me to put a Living Will on file with my doctor, my attorney, and a couple of like-minded friends. My wife did the same. Quality of life is important; I put down my pets when they are sick with no hope of recovery. I would want someone to do the…

DISCLAIMER: The following is my opinion and YMMV. Your fiance's behavior is manipulative at best, and controlling at worst - signs of a potential emotional abuser He refuses to tell you because he promised your brother. This is tripe. One's fiancee should be more important than the fiancee's family members, especially over…

Christ on a crutch! Cheese and crackers! Give me strength! Oh for the love of little green apples. Edited to add: Holy Saint Agnes on a polka-dotted mule!

What stands out to me after a brief look at your food diary is that your sodium levels are WAY high and you're not drinking enough water.

I'm a 50-something desk-jockey husband. Thank you for giving me another reason to keep up with this. It *does* make my wife happy that I'm trying to lose weight.

It starts early - many schools have cut recess and phys-ed programs so kids are getting less exercise. Kids who want to run around are called ADHD and parents are pushed to have them put on medication so they'll be easier to handle. DISCLAIMER: I'm not saying there's no such thing as ADHD. I *am* saying that it's overly…

Welcome to all you new folks! I've been here about 3 weeks now, and I think it's very helpful. The biggest things I've learned here are: don't beat yourself up when you backslide. Instead, pick yourself up and keep going. Log everything you eat (I know I need to be better at this). Feel free to friend me. I don't bite...…

Welcome back! You *can* do this! We're all cheering for you!

Log everything you eat. That helps me. I've only been here about 3 weeks.

The first time I saw my wife, I was smitten. 17 years later, we're still together, and I'm still madly in love with her.

Fried, scrambled, poached, hard-boiled, over-easy. Just about any way except raw. My cats love them too.
