  • I started T25 last Monday. I've done every video according to schedule plus some ab exercises and tennis whenever I get a chance. It has been tough. It usually takes me about 30-35 minutes, since I have to pause for a bit to catch my breath on T25. What challenge are you thinking of?
  • I did the Alpha Cardio video today with my HRM and burnt 282 calories in 31 mins. I know it should be done in 25 mins, but I just started last week so I have to push "pause" twice to regain my breath and focus! Hope this info works for you! I am a female, 41, 5,5" and currently weight 134. Goal weight: 123-120. I've always…
  • 2nd day of T25 and eating very healthy. Very motivated. It is tough. Can't believe I sweat so much and have to take a break in just 25 mins! (and I can play tennis for 3 hours!)
  • The best bet is the Polar or heart rate monitor. I need to change the battery in mine, so for these few days until I get a new battery, I will just put 25 mins of general aerobic workout and let MFP figure out the calories. I've compared the calories in my Polar to what MFP suggests and it's usually pretty close (50-100…
  • Hi, I'm Ana. I am 41 and a working mother of 3 (18,16, and 9). Three years ago I did 4 weeks of Slim n 6 (BeachBody) and was in the best shape ever, and didn't even finish the program. It was very successful but I got a little bored at the end. I've always been very active (tennis, mountain bike), but last year I never…
  • I hear you.... I need motivation! I started Slim in 6 today and couldn't even finish the 60 minutes! I just did 1/2 an hour and found the first excuse to quit - "it's getting late", "I have to get to work", "I need to start slow", "I'll do more tomorrow"... But I do need to get back in shape and feel good with the clothes…
  • I drink a lot of water and I sometimes brush my teeth as a little trick to make me less anxious about eating more or whenever it's not time to eat. I guess I trick my palate and my brain that way...
  • Congrats!!! You look great AND healthy AND happy!!!
  • Haven't had that problem at all, but I would suggest putting some Vaseline before a long run to avoid rubbing next time!
  • I find it as a really healthy option. Go for rye bread, turkey breast, load it with veggies and no dressing (I add avocado to mine to have a little healthy fat). I also avoid the chips and have tons of diet soda (not very healthy, but my only addiction!)
  • I can see that I'm not the only one that has been lost! I've been so busy with work (thank GOD!) that I haven't logged in for quite a while, haven't been watching my food and rarely exercising! I'll go slowly, because I have little time. I landed a new design project that'll keep me busy, extremely busy for about 2-3…
  • Polar FT7 - love it! Got it at Sports Authority with $20 off coupon for about $89
  • Hi Sandypants, I did S in 6 about 2 yrs ago with great results. I lost about 10 lbs, got to my goal weight and was very fit. I felt my body was sculpted and felt great! Then I sort of let loose again and started up again with workouts a few months ago with these people here. Great support! I haven't been very regular…
  • Quick note since I need to go to the bank: Thx Trhvn!!! Had a great b-day and I'm so glad you're looking for clothes that fit you differently so you can see the diff!!! It's exciting! 2 things: 1. Had the personal training session today and was very interesting. I will let you know all the details as soon as I have time.…
  • Drumroll pls..... I started P90X today! TOUGH, real TOUGH! I woke up early and did 1 hr elliptical debating if I should do the video and decided that at least today I had the time, so I went for it! All though the pull up bar and other equipment is in the basement and the DVD is in my bedroom and didn't feel like unhooking…
  • MTDork - Take care!!! Get healthy soon! Drink lots of fluids! Landry - Good luck on the testing! If you do Burn it Up daily until then, you'll def get good numbers! April - Yay! You'll be in sunny Jamaica-man soon! :) I did a challenge last Dec with a few MFP friends, but they were crazy! I think they were challenging…

  • My husband bought the whole thing about 6-7 months ago and just made it to the mailbox. I was doing Sim in 6 (another Beachbody DVD program, very good BTW) and always thought P90X would be too much for me. My husband got the whole thing and I don't even know how much he spent, but we have the pullup bar, mat, and the…
  • OK, I've chickened out! Just for a few days, though! I've read all the info on P90X & let me tell you, it's A LOT of work!!!! It's taking me several nights to read all the info and have just started on the nutritional requirements. Also, I have to do a fitness test before starting (x # of push ups, situps, pull ups, etc)…
  • Found the P90X DVD's. I wanted to read all the material first, then watch the info DVD and then start working out the following day. I started reading but it was SO much, I fell asleep this morning and couldn't even get through 1/4 of the material! Hopefully I will get it done tonight and start working out tomorrow. I'm a…
  • I AM BACK!!! Had lots of fun with friends and family at the beach. Lots of eating and drinking and partying - but no regrets. I felt OK in a bikini, exercised when posible, ate without thinking and gained 5 lbs... Oh well, I know what to do to get rid of them, so now it's payback time! I got up real early this morning…
  • MTDork - I didn't give you my latest stats just the weight, but there's only one small change on my waist - 28". Everything else stays the same. RLAL - Welcome! You'll love this group! To all - I will be out of sight for a few days, more like weeks. Tonight we have a family dinner, but start driving around visiting my…
  • Not logging in, trying to make healthy food choices, eat in moderation, exercise as much as I can! But I will not worry about logging in, I want to enjoy the holidays... Have a good one!
  • Weird, really weird.... But I love it!!! I didn't weigh myself last week because I was traveling and not exercising, just all the walking while shopping. I was a LITTLE careful on my food choices and now that I'm back, I haven't been able to exercise as often as I'd like (haven't moved a finger in 3 days). Stepped on the…
  • Tofu, edamame (yummmm!), beans, nuts... And yes, a protein shake after a workout! Great to hear from you again, my friend! :)
  • You can hang the pull up bar from a doorway... My hubby on the other hand, didn't want to damage the woodwork on the doorway, so he installed it right on the wall of our basement. I haven't tried it, but I think it's a little uncomfortable, since this way you don't have the space behind or in front of you. I don't know if…
  • I'm in, but I'll start mid Jan... Serenifly - you and me can start together! I'm a bit scared of P90X to tell you the truth, but this is my personal challenge for 2011. Talk to you later!
  • Slim in 6! Great workout and toning!
  • HI there, I've been a little out of touch with you guys, sorry! Holiday parties, events, wrapping gifts (I have to run to the store for MORE paper again!), family and a little rest! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy for you MTDork! WTG!!!! When do you start??? Good luck, learn tons, enjoy your surroundings! I think it's a good idea…
