Tonight's main event (all stuff I've made before, so these recipes are great): Sirloin Tip Roast: http://paleoleap.com/sirloin-tip-roast/ Roasted Broccoli: http://paleoleap.com/sirloin-tip-roast/ (If you like your broccoli with that kind of charred crunchy finish that makes it taste a little like popcorn, throw the broiler…

I bought some ZMA supplements today, so we'll see how that goes...

I'm doing great as well, at least in losing weight and controlling inflammation. But wow, my sleep SUCKS. I don't remember this from last January. So I bought some ZMA supplements today to see if that helps. I'm on day 12.

I started Jan 4 as well. What a difference it makes for chronic illness. At least it has been a life saver for me. Feel free to add me as a friend if you want support. :)

It's not getting any better, unfortunately (about 4 5o 5 hour a night still). The weird thing though is that I don't feel as crappy as I usually would after this much bad sleep. I may go post over at the W30 site to see if they have any insight.

No problem, Pam. I really feel so much better and it's only been a few days. I know you aren't supposed to weigh yourself on W30, but I did this morning (I do every Friday), and I took off all the weight I gained in December. Feels great!

The Whole30 for me was about my relationship with food and about improving my health. When I did the program last Jan/Feb, I really struggled until I found my groove. I have mild neuropathy from a condition called transverse myelitis that is accompanied by fatigue. I did the Whole30 to try to reduce inflammation and gain…

I need to lose about 80 and I'm also doing Whole30 (and I use a fitbit). I really struggle with exercise in the winter as I live in Alberta and it's bloody cold out. I lost 45 lbs last year with a combo of Whole30 and then eating largely paleo. I'd love to have more buddies to cheer on.

The hardest part of the Whole30 for me was the veggies at breakfast. The smell of cooking veggies made me want to hurl during my first Whole30. To deal with this, I cook this carrot soup on the weekends to eat all week for breakfast (with eggs on the side). Ingredients: 2 lb. baby carrots 1 large onion (chopped roughly)…

Hi everyone, I'm Deb. I suffer from a neurological condition called transverse myelitis (kind of like multiple sclerosis but thankfully stable). My neuropathy and fatigue is affected by inflammation, so in January & February 2015 I did my first Whole 30. I then proceeded to eat mostly Paleo for the rest of the year, which…

For valentine's day I made a really nice steak with sweet potatoes and roasted curry cauliflower. But for dessert, I made paleo crepes with a berry topping that was to die for.

This isn't a quick fix. Whole 30 is an elimination diet to learn what foods your body can't process (which causes inflammation, autoimmune diseases, etc.). It isn't meant to be followed for the rest of your life, it's just for a month of resetting your body and then a month (+/-) of testing foods after. It's the most…

Count me in! I'm in reintroduction (dairy is baaaad and sulfites in wine are nasty!)... I'm on day 35.

I've been doing Whole 30 since January 5. My favorite recipes have been from Nom Nom Paleo (love the curry broccoli soup, Kalua Pig, short ribs... so many good things). I have trouble eating two cups of veg in the morning, so I've been making carrot ginger soup for mornings with eggs. Use more fat if you aren't getting…

I really like South Beach. On Phase I you basically just get your carbs from veggies, and then after two weeks you start mixing fruit, whole grains, sweet potatoes, etc. back in. So it breaks the sugar/wheat habit and then slowly rebuilds your carbs.
-
I have transverse myelitis, which is very similar. Walking sucks, but I just keep going! Feel free to add me.

I'm on book four right now... haven't been this addicted to a series in a long time!
-
I have about 100# to lose and would love more input. I've been here 16 days straight now, and it seems to make a big difference. I'm doing South Beach, and I'm all about balanced carbs. Whole grains, lots of fiber, and a little dark chocolate.

I'm almost halfway through Phase I. I find Kalyn's Kitchen blog the best source of recipes. Almost everything in there is Phase I or Phase II friendly, and it's so freaking tasty! I pretty much scour he blog and then put together a meal plan each weekend, and cook everything on Sundays.

I'm in Edmonton (but originally from Los Angeles).

I have a rare disorder, and my pain is all neurological. I used Lyrica as a crutch for awhile, but exercise helps. Now when I say exercise, I mean light to moderate exercise like walking or water aerobics. If I do something higher intensity it lays me out with fatigue like you wouldn't believe and sometimes causes…

Wow, good for you to recognize that it's time to take action. I just came back here to get myself on track a few days ago, so I'm just starting out, too. I have about 110 lbs I want to lose, so I will be in it for the long haul. If you want to support each other, feel free to friend me.

Starting Phase I today, if anyone wants to friend me. I did it about 8 years ago and lost 60ish pounds. Since then I've had medical issues and the weight's all back. SBD was my favorite diet and made me feel so good.

I'm back on South Beach (starting today!) to help control inflammation as I have a rare neurological disorder called transverse myelitis. I have trouble walking, and South Beach Phase I will help me quickly get some of the water weight off and make exercise easier. It's all about being healthy, not about what it says on…

I tried MFP a few years ago on a brief stint, but I'm back in earnest. I have about 110 lbs to lose, and I'll need all the help I can get! Trying to reach out to others this time around to see if the extra support helps. Feel free to add me and good luck!

I don't have MS, but I do have a rare neurological disorder that is similar: transverse myelitis. I have trouble walking due to my spinal cord lesions, and that has just made managing my weight that much harder. I joined MFP to try to track what causes inflammation and to try to remember my successes (and learn from my…
