Is anyone doing the Whole 30 program of eating clean? I would like suggestions on recipes to keep me motivated and interested. Loving the results and the feeling, but continually not getting in more than 950 calories, but full all the time. Worried about putting my body in a starvation mode and failing to meet my goal. Have 17 pounds more to lose.

From my understanding the whole30 isn't a weight loss diet. Have they changed something? That said there are many recent threads about it and probably a couple of groups. Have a quick search.

You are correct. It is more of a metabolism reset. Thank you.

    Oh, that made more sense.
    Not.

Hmm. Then it's a completely different whole
When I read about it: it was an elimination diet, designed to help users figure out what foods are having a negative impact on health.

It isn't a weight loss diet, it's the paleo diet, just called something else.

I've been doing Whole 30 since January 5. My favorite recipes have been from Nom Nom Paleo (love the curry broccoli soup, Kalua Pig, short ribs... so many good things). I have trouble eating two cups of veg in the morning, so I've been making carrot ginger soup for mornings with eggs. Use more fat if you aren't getting enough calories... especially coconut milk. Although I'm doing Whole 30 for learning more about what my body can't tolerate (so far dairy!), I have lost 20 lbs since Jan 5.
  • Hey there! I have been doing whole 30 since 22JAN & kicking butt so far! Here are links to some of my favorite recipes so far:

    BUFFALO RANCH CHICKEN STUFFED PEPPERS(http://www.primallyinspired.com/buffalo-ranch-stuffed-peppers/)

    ZUCHHINI POPPERS (http://foodgawker.com/post/2014/04/22/339326/)

    CHICKEN STRIPS (http://againstallgrain.com/2011/12/06/grain-free-chicken-strips/)

A sweet treat or quick breakfast recipe:

1 chopped apple of your choice
2 TBS of almond butter (I use one for less calories)
    2 TSP cinnamon

Place chopped apple in bowl & cinnamon & add 2 TBS water, microwave for 3 minutes. Stir in almond butter. ENJOY :)

Also, I make these little booster bites: my favorite two are

    KEY LIME BITES (http://www.spoonfulofflavor.com/2014/01/27/key-lime-coconut-energy-bites/)
    &
    COCONUT CASHEW BITES(http://www.ablossominglife.com/2014/05/chocolate-coconut-cashew-bites.html#_a5y_p=1676931)

Wow! These look great. I will have to make the Stuffed peppers this weekend. Thanks! So far, doing pretty well. Fortunately, I haven't been tempted by the sweets. Looks like I can do this for the rest of the thirty days. Can't wait to see the final outcome. Feeling awesome, so definitely worth it either way.

Search recipes on Pinterest. There are so many great ones to try! I'm starting today with a friend doing it for the second time.
