LOL this is totally me. When I wear flats I squat randomly all over the office while no one is looking. I do wall pushups in the breakroom. I do walking lunges in the hallway. Whatever little things I can get away with!

I also get in these ruts once in a while. Shoot, sometimes I even find myself having give up 10 min before the end of a workout becuase I want to cry with how disapointed I feel in myself. But I just start fresh the next day and keep going until I don't feel ****ty anymore. As a PP mentioned, if you are eating at only 1200…

I am probably not as busy as you, but I commute over 150km each day, I have a full time job, a kid, a husband and I volunteer. I find the only way I can work out is out in the evenings right before bed. I use videos at home, usually fitnessblender. On weekends I fit in a jog or some sort of activity as well. In terms of…

Why don't you workout tonight instead of tomorrow? I always find myself getting into these types of ruts (even after doing this for 15 months). In fact, I am in a eating more than I should kinda rut right now. Just pick yourself up and do it. Just go for a walk this evening or do whatever activity you usually do. It will…

If I had to eat 900 calories a day for the rest of my life, I would just off myself (not at all saying you should). I honestly hate my life if I eat anywhere close to 1200. But that is just me.

Wooohooo!!! Congrats!!!

Holy smokes.... WOW!!! You are inspirational!!!! So touching to hear about your relationship with your children! I got kinda teary eyed over here. Do you find that now you have lost weight, you get to participate more actively in their lives? Also, (just because I am always curious about this) would you mind sharing how…

this. A lot of people here have this high and mighty stance like "Well it is just SO easy! How come you don't just do it? Look at me, I did it so obviously everyone else can do it" If that were truly the case, none of us would even be here in the first place. We all started somewhere.

I think the real reason why people post these types of question is to recieve some sort of support. I have posted said type of posts myself because some days it just feels damn hard to do it alone. A lot of time, it does feel complicated and guess what, some days I want to feel like a special gosh darn snow flake.

Go eat chocolate..... a small haloween size chocolate bar is like 60 to 80 calories. Totally workable. Just go for a walk on your lunch and you already burned it off.

I just threw away a full two plates of cake, naimo bars and coconut custard tarts for this same reason. RIP my sugary friends :(

Luckily I don't crave food at night (weekends are another story). I eat by 6 and then Between 6 and 8, I just keep busy. I work out anywhere from 8 to 10. If anytime after I work out I get hungry, I force my *kitten* to sleep lol. I drink tea if I am really craving something or I take a quarter cup of cheerios to munch on.

You GO girl!!!! You've lost so much!!! Feel proud!!!

I guess it depends on your ultimate goal. I'm not a doctor or a scientist but from what I have read, if you don't eat back your exercise calories, you are risking losing more muslce than fat. Basically, your body needs energy to burn fat, if there isnt enough energy (calories/nutrition) it will just burn muslce becuase it…

Thank you all for your replies. It seems like a lot of people see success between 45 to 60 min at least 3 times a week. That seems pretty feasable if I am also doing other forms of activities at home. I am tempted to invest in weights at home but the space is pretty limited and I am not ready to chuck out my elliptical…

I do body weight workouts though some videos on fitnessblender. Is that enough to compensate for lifting?
-
Well I want to look hot obviously LOL Right now I do a mix of elliptical, jogging, zumba and at least 2 or 3 times a week I do fitnessblender toning videos.
-
You look smoking!!!! Slow and steady is my motto!

Thanks for your reply. I do weight and measure my food about 90% of the time. I even keep measuring cups at work so I don't slip up there either. And the only difficulty I find with the tdee method is that my workouts change weekly. Some weeks I will do 6 hours and others I will only do 4 hours. I used this spread sheet I…

Taking one day at a time was the big changer for me. In the past, whenever I had a f-ed up eating day, I would just give up for the rest of the week and then for the rest of the month. Now I take it a day or even hour at a time.

I usually eat much more than 1200 calories but I do enjoy south asian food. I find that the only way to really calculate the calories is to make it yourself and even when you make it yourself, it will never be as rich as restuarant or "auntie" made

Thanks for the suggestions guys! Pork is unfortunately out of the question because a lot of my coworkers are Muslim. I think I am going to make baked spinach/chicken balls. :)

I find that everyone has their own interests in life and yours just happens to be health and fitness. As someone who is constantly talking about fitness and health myself, I find that I probably get a bit annoying to other people who aren't into the same thing. It is like that with anything. For example, if my husband…

I work out anywhere from 8 to 10 pm most weeks (sometimes I get a daytime work out in on the weekends). I never eat after I workout.
-
Well I am trying to "up" my calories to be around 1450 (have some trouble the past few weeks being consistent) . I guess I'm reluctant to fully commit because I usually only see people who claim success with this method after 3 or 4 weeks but I never see posts from people who have had long term success with this ( 30 or…

How long ago did you up your calories?
-
This really helps put things at perspective for me!!! In the begining I would eat really good for a whole month and then I would just feel the need to eat at a "normal" level for a weekend. I always found that it would boost things up for me and I would drop 1 to 2lbs the following week. Now, as I have gotten further…

I'd also like to know how often these refuel days should be happening...

I know I know... :frown: I learned my lesson after this weekend
