  • As several have said above, the Karrimor range is pretty good (for the price). I also have a breathable waterproof from Ronhill which was about £60. I wear it for rain proof abilities rather than the cold and its pretty good so far. I only bought it in April but so far, so good. Like others, I just stick some layers…
  • Please sir, can I join? :flowerforyou: I lose and gain the same 10lbs or so. Challenges really help me focus on getting my backside to the gym and my current challenge is due to finish soon but is falling apart a little due to its complexity and that thing called "life".
  • Having fallen for more than a few of these in my time (despite being quite a logical person based in empiricism) it is finally time to cut out all the BS and just get on with it. I have a great plan going at the moment...just need to stop over restricted calories and then binge eating the hell out of a weekend. I might…
  • If there's still room, I'd love to join. I did a hunger games themed challenge last year and loved it! Proper motivation, despite people dropping out towards the end :(
  • Hello! Great group. Autumn seems to be a time of year I get my head together enough to be able to lose weight so September will be a great kick start month. I officially kickstarted last week when I reset my ticker. My goals for today are to drink my 8 glasses of water (on 7 now so going well!) and to avoid the cake that's…
  • Great read - thanks for posting.
  • Uber excited:bigsmile:
  • Been waiting avidly for this - sign me up please  I move house this week and my broadband connection should be in place on the 22nd so all good.
  • Thanks Chipmunkey. I'll stop refreshing the page every 10 mins! Hope all okay!!
  • Wow - sounds like a lot of fun and a way to get my *kitten* back in gear. I've been having a hard time lately so have been keeping my out for a new challenge as I did one before Christmas and loved it. Will there be a dedicated group for this as it makes it easier to keep track of at work as some of the forum pages get…
  • I am currently in love with the Panda liquorice bars you can get in Holland and Barrett - love the blueberry and raspberry ones. Only 95 kcals a pop. Failing that, a good old bowl of fage 0% greek yoghurt with a teaspoon of honey and some vanilla extract - tastes like custard but less than 100kcals and a good hit of…
  • Stopped myself mid-binge tonight. Really happy that I was able to stop. Baby steps  Hope everyone is getting through today and good vibes being sent for those who need it. :flowerforyou:
  • Hahahaha - I'm a chesterfield/Sheffield girl as well. So "duck/love" is a daily staple for me too  My father in law says "duck" so it still dots around in normal conversation. I'm following the TDEE (after a fashion!) and know what you mean about obsession on those numbers. Its taking me a long long time to get over…

  • After having a terrible weekend I have had a few reasonably calm days. I've identified a few trigger situations which has helped (but one trigger is a friend at work so that's going to be hard to combat). One day at a time. It doesn't get easier but somehow you just get through it. Thanks for just being there as a group…
  • I read every single word. I'm guilty of being a 1200 goal person (who in reality used to aim way lower after exercise) and I suffer chronic binge eating which I attribute to years of eating at 1000/1200 cals a day. I'm slowly slowly starting to realise what's going on and I thank people like you for taking the time to…
  • Having a bad few days since I last posted (famous last words and all that!). Trying to get myself back on track. Will have a good sit down and think what has triggered me down this last episode as I'm not sure. I have a more "normal" week at work next week (apart from a trip to London for a meeting) so my exercise should…
  • Love Body Attack (although not been for a while) - good calorie burn! Running (treadmill or outside) - Stress relief Kettlebells/Weights Body Pump Hate Rowing Machine - unsure why. Its been a few years so I might give it a go next time in the gym.
  • Agree with this wholeheartedly. I ate a WHOLE bar of cooking chocolate (yes, cooking chocolate!) last week just because it was the only sweet thing in the house and I was alone. :grumble:
  • I think i'll add to this considering how helpful I'm finding this mini support group. Binge - probably 8 (had a really hard start to the month) Me - 4 Feeling much better save for the HUGE CHINESE BUFFET that is in the middle of our office today. Luckily I don't really like stuff like that cos of the "ingredients" being…
  • Day 3 - done and dusted. Didn't feel up to it and was thinking about "legit" excuses walking home. However, got in, changed into my workout clothes without thinking and got the hell on with it  It also stopped me from wanting to binge - bonus.

  • Wow - only joined this group on Sunday and already feeling a bit better. No binge yesterday after employing a few tricks (eating my lunch before I left the office at lunch time, no money in my purse and not buying chocolate when I went to the supermarket last night). I've read this thread and just knowing other people are…
  • Its only recently that I discovered my binge eating was considered a disorder and not just me being "greedy". I'm so glad I stumbled upon this group as I really need the support. I started off so well today and then something triggered in me and that was it...eat...eat..eat. I've exercised so that's one redeeming feature…
  • Will not be adding pictures but will gladly add my measurements and weight: SW - 112.4 GW - 105 (granted unlikly I'll lose the last 7lbs in this 30 days but I'll sure give it my best shot!) Waist - 25.5in Hip - 35.75in Thigh - 21.25in
  • Love BFBM by Jillian. When I can't get to the gym I do that. Its snowing right now so I might do that a little later on this afters. Just done day 1 (after a two week break) and feeling okay. Arms ache as I increased my weights.
  • Same here. I use circuit training and then enter the calories from my heart rate monitor. HTH.
  • Morning. I'd like to join if I may? I completed all levels before Christmas and love, love loved the results I got from it. Would like to do it again because I've got lazy and squidgy again. :grumble: Time for revamp.. I will mix in my other exercises as well but this will help keep me honest. I'll take measurements…
  • I'm late too!! Had a mad weekend with lots of ups and downs. SW - 112 GW - 107 The dreaded last 5 pounds needs to come off. :grumble: They came off before Christmas and went right back on.
  • I'm running a 5K this year for Cancer Research. Did it 2 years ago and want to shave time off. I used coach to 5K and loved it. Although I had to redo the music. Being a rock/metal girl I find I had to change my music up. FUnny how many metal tracks have the right BPM for me  I need a kick up the bum cos my…
  • Wow - having gone off the rails of late I have taken the last half hour to sit down and truly look at my TDEE and my subsequent macro targets from that. I've been eating far too few calories resulting in a binge cycle that I've found very hard to break. Using what I've read here I hope to get myself back in the game. Thank…
