I had this a year ago. My dr. Sent me to physical therapy. I wish I had gone to a chiropractor instead. The PT had me do some real simple exercises- neck and arm stuff. Basically just giving it time and not doing heavy lifting helped. Also changing habits like not texting or using the iPad with my head looking down for…

You look very fit and pretty in your picture. My guess is that she needs to lose weight more than you do. Or if she is thin, she still doesn't look as good as you. So it's just her. Keep up the good work!

That's funny. I taught high school English and high school journalism. The comma rules are different, depending which style guide you follow. The AP Style Book used in journalism uses fewer commas. So, you were both right!

I disagree. As others have said, it depends on so many other factors: - Your bone structure: 110 would be too thin for someone with a large frame, but fine for someone small-boned. - Amount of muscle you have: Muscle weighs more. It may be better to go by measurements instead of pounds if you are very toned. - The size of…

Get your blood tested for thyroid, b12, D3, and iron. I take a liquid b12 and a double dose of D3.

Definitely see a therapist/counselor. It sounds like you have PTSD. Also, have you tried yoga? The meditation element could be a big help.

Here's my health and fitness Pinterest Board: http://pinterest.com/sherrilibrarian/healthy/ I follow a lot of similar ones too, so check that out. You might have to wade through a lot of the people I follow for work related stuff though!

I'm your same height and close to the same weight. I didn't weight myself for several months and gained 20 lbs in less than a year! I am 49 though and it's so much easier to gain and harder to lose as you get into your late 40s. Like you, I had kids in my late 30s and exercised in my early 40s - 5Ks and the gym. I reallly…

Along with cutting out simple carbs as others have said, Increasing exercise has helped me most, especially with mood and energy. If you have hot flashes, Estroven over the counter supplements help.

There are so many. Usually it is about something involving the kids. Like my husband yelling at the kids because they were yelling. When we were first married, I once said, "I don't want to be a nag, but if I were a nag this is what I would say...." We still laugh about that.

I agree. Muscle weighs more than fat. Maybe work on toning certain areas with a trainer. Also your body after childbirth changes especially with a small frame. My hip bones are farther apart and my rib cage is wider. You can still have a great body but don't obsess.

You could cut back a little on the carbs (at least the unhealthy ones) and sodium, but nothing too extreme as others here have said. I always feel better if I do Pilates that works on my core. You also could add some more intense cardio to your workout.

How do you calculate your exercise calories? Several have mentioned that the lists here overestimate calories burned for many of us. That is why so many use heart rate monitors.

It looks like your goal weight is 165. That sounds healthy, unless you're 7 feet tall. I wish I could work out 2 to 3 hours a day.

Is it possible to do both? I'm new to this, and I would prefer to eat clean but I'm not sure I'm organized enough. I would like to eat as healthy as possible, and throw in some processed stuff (usually low fat) that my family likes and so I don't feel deprived. In the past that has been my problem with diets. Can someone…

I'm doing 30 Day Shred (hope to do Insanity next) and I've gained a couple of pounds. My clothes fit better though. I wish I would have taken measurements before I started.

Do people use these as a meal replacement or as a snack? I'm trying to have 25 percent of my calories from protein which I've only been able to do by going over my fat allotment AND/OR getting hungry.

I'm going to Costco today and will look for these. How is the taste?

I'm requesting one of these for my library..Thanks for the idea! I was 110 right after I turned 30 though I was around 120 thru most of my my 20s. I gained weight thru my 30s- especially after I had kids in my late 30s. I got back down to 140 after my youngest was born but gained it back (and more) when I returned to work…

This really is good inspiration. I'm 5'3 and want to lose a total of 50 pound. How long do you think it will take? My food intake is around 1200 a day- though I don't know if I'll be able to continue with that. Right now I'm exercising daily, but I go back to work in August, and probably won't be able to exercise more than…

I'm having the same problem with sugar that others are, as well as Protein, which I'm not worried about. I have been avoiding some natural sugars, like fruits, because it. I'm going to go in and up my protein setting, but it will come out of my carbs.

Like others said, you can do it but it will be much slower. I've exercised very little in the past year- and gained 25 pounds! Since starting MFP, I've been motivated to exercise because I can eat more calories on the days that I do. I'm not really an athlete, so it took me a while to find the right exercise (or…

How do you enter Shred workouts into your MFP diary? I didn't find anything when I did a search. I'm new to MFP and I've only added cardio exercises I posted this on the Shred group board too, so I apologize for the cross posting.
