October 3rd Protein Challenge Me: 3 NEP: 0 This is motivating! I've been awesome about it the past few days because of the challenge. It's a non workout day, but I think I will do something simple like some wii fit during Sloane's nap and use my HRM to motivate me a bit more.

I ended up working out! Then after I even had time to make stuffed peppers for the crock pot for dinner later tonight. It's a new recipe I'm trying :) That's usually what happens though, I end up working out and then for her second nap I don't feel like sleeping anymore.

Thanks TheFunBun! It's nice seeing real progress on my body. Ugh, so tired today. But I'm going to push through a workout. Sloane (my daughter) suddenly thinks it's the cool thing to get up in the middle of the night and play. I have an option of napping during her first nap or working out. I'm going to choose the workout…

October 2nd Me: 2 NEP: 0 I like this challenge. I do tend to focus on my macros, but this makes me focus more on protein. Oh, and yesterday while working out and waiting in between sets, I noticed in the mirror my thigh muscles bulge out now. Way better than being flabby!

I know it's bad, but I don't do the HIIT. I'm stuck in the house with a baby and I don't have the equipment for it. My husband is always out of town so it's not like I can go for a run alone.
-
If you feel like you need it, go ahead! I find it's really hard to commit myself to a workout if I'm already really tired and stressed.
-
I agree about missing the soreness. I was so sore the first week (like cry when I get down on the floor to play with my daughter sore) and since then I don't get sore at all (even with increasing my weights). I miss it because it made me feel like I really worked myself. I know I'm still working out hard, but I just don't…

October 1st Protein Challenge, 144 grams today! Me: 1 NEP: 0

Thanks Karen :) Also thanks for showing me this group so I can talk with other people also doing this program.

I hope the surgery goes okay! It's never fun when they aren't feeling 100%. I have a 9 month old who has 8 teeth and teething definitely took a toll on me and my workouts.

I'm excited to say that NROL4W has helped me break the 50 lb mark, I've lost 50 lbs as of today! I lost inches like crazy in Stage 1 and now in Stage 2 my weight is dropping a lot faster. Since strarting NROL4W I've lost about 5-6 lbs and I'm about halfway through Stage 2 :) Are you guys doing a protein challenge? I think…
-
Whoohoo! I'm on Stage 2 and I love it so much! I'm almost sad that it is only half as long as Stage 1.

Back in the early days of humans we didn't eat grains. We ate fruit, veggies, and meat pretty much. They say that's the reason so many people have issues with gluten intolerance or allergies, for so many of us our bodies haven't evolved enough to eat it. I have a gluten intolerance and cut out wheat and it really helped…

I noticed that too, the more workouts you add the more your weekly loss amount goes down. If you actually select less workouts it says you will lose weight faster. That's my only problem with it.
-
This is neat!

I don't follow the calorie amounts in the book, but I did still up them from what I was eating. I eat around 1500 on non lifting days and around 1800 on lifting days. I try to make protein a priority. So far I've lost quite a few inches and now the lbs are starting to come off too.
-
So far I am really enjoying this stage! During stage 1 I lost a lot of inches but only a few lbs. 1 week/3 workouts into this stage I've lost a lb and a half from my lowest weight (I weigh daily so I can see what causes fluctuations).
-
Thanks, melissaw1232! I probably lost inches fairly easy since I'm already quite big. Looking at my old workout journal is depressing. I was so much smaller before getting pregnant! navydentalchi, since I'm in stage 2 now I'm using two 15lb dumbbells for the squat push press and I have 20 lb ones so I'll be able to move up…
-
For the dumbbell one point row, the book says to switch legs half way through the set. The other leg exercises are per leg, but as this is a back/arm exercise you can switch legs halfway through.
-
I do really like it! I hate lunges, haha.
-
Did workout B for the first time today. Bulgarian split squats hurt like crazy after doing deadlifts! I find the reverse lunge from box move very awkward, hopefully I get better at it. I really enjoy the dumbbell Cuban snatch, I really felt it in my arms and it seems like an awesome move! Can't wait to get ripped! haha ;)
-
susanmc31, I didn't take a break because I missed a few workouts during stage 1 (as in I had two weeks where I only worked out once or twice). I figure that was enough of a break. Thanks melissaw1232! It was a really good work out. I really liked workout A1 of this stage. I had trouble with my balance doing the dumbbell…

I struggle with this too. I'll be just above 1200 but I aim for 1800ish on work out days. I feel like I run out of ideas on what to eat and I'm just not hungry. Sometimes I use the extra calories to treat myself to a glass of wine, sometimes I just eat something healthy as filler, and sometimes I just let it be because I'm…
-
Thanks guys :) Considering I missed workouts due to some unplanned things (or shortened by my daughter waking up from a nap early), I'm happy that I came as far as I did.
-
Started stage 2 today. 60 seconds seems reallllyyyyy long when you are planking! I definitely need to work on my core, I did multiple attempts at planks and the longest I got was 20 seconds. But then again I am one of the chunkier girls here. I also heard that pregnancy can seperate your abs so I wonder if that has…

Forgot to add about the calories! I eat 1500 on non lifting days and around 1800 on lifting days. The calculation in the book had me doing 2000 on non lifting and 2300 on lifting and I didn't feel comfortable going that high. I played around with calories for awhile and I found I do best at this level. Anything more I tend…

My weights were pretty pitiful, I'm warning you ;) I'm not as in shape as I was before I had my daughter. Squats only 30 lbs because I don't have a squat rack and I wasn't sure how to get anything heavier up onto my shoulders without injuring myself. Push-ups on incline, on the 3rd step of my stairs. Seated Row 85 lbs…
-
I lost a few lbs in Stage 1 but mostly lost inches. I'm also quite a bit heavier though. When I did NROL4W two years ago I was a lot smaller already and noticed a weight drop and then afterwards it was mostly my body that changed.
-
Starting Stage 2 today, excited! :)

jenniet04, my daughter is my first, his second. We would like to have another one or possibly two, so I guess I'll have to wait on that! My husband is willing to get snipped once we are done though, which is nice. Because he is working out of town they give him an extra 2,400 a month for living expenses, but he only really…
