Another thing is to be more effective, try to avoid doing cardio on the muscles you worked after doing your strength training. Endurance exercises deactivate the pathway that cause hypertrophy (increase in muscle size).

Haha I'm flattered!! I'm actually around 143
-
I'm bad at this too... 130?

I know it can undergo gluconeogenesis, it just might be more effective (for the purposes of maintaining an interest in working out), to not stress the body so much suddenly.
-
That sounds great, but if you're going to be doing cardio, I would consider eating carbs. Glycogen is the primary form of energy for your body during endurance exercises, and you get it from carbohydrates. To be consistent with a good diet AND cardio, you should eat carbs to keep high energy levels!! Just eat complex ones

Hi!! Add me if you like! I also kept giving up, but I'm determined to lose it all again and keep going until I reach my ultimate goal! I've been on pretty consistently for about 3 weeks now!

I think it'll depend on the relationship. My boyfriend and I work out together all the time now. Neither one of us is into PDA, so we won't do anything physical with each other while doing weights. We'll spot each other, and he'll help me fix my form. I'm weaker than him, of course, but it's incredibly motivating to have…

Hi! Mine is open. Recently I've been eating a lot of granola bars and belvita breakfast bars because I'm constantly on campus, but usually I like simple things like tofu, rice, cream of wheat, yogurt + granola, fruit, etc.

I love running!! My advice would be to find ways to make it enjoyable to you. Running outdoors with good music is what I like, but maybe you'd enjoy something different. Start slow, without setting goals that are too much longer or faster than you can handle right now. Pushing yourself to do more can be unpleasant, and…

Let's help motivate each other! :)

Thank you!! I really appreciate this input. I'll take my body measurements now and take pictures as well. That's a great idea! I'll try my best to meet the calorie limit and I will definitely stick with this program. I'm motivated again! :flowerforyou:

I know there's variation, but I've been weighing myself almost daily. I do not eat the same amount of carbs every day, but overall I try to incorporate more proteins into my diet. I don't consume very many foods that are rich in sodium, so I think I'll try more of a deficit! Thank you for your input!

I wholeheartedly second this post! I am also on the Mirena and have had no ill effects. In fact, my cravings for sugary foods (which I had while on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo) disappeared and now I'm able to eat more normally!

By the way, your photo is really inspiring!!

I'm almost 5'7"!

I'll admit that during the summer I stopped working out, and since break I haven't done much exercise, but now that school has started up again I'm doing cardio 2-3 times a week, and weights 2-3 times a week. I always bike (not stationary, to get places) 5 days a week, and the other stuff is just in addition to it.…

Honestly? In some of my courses we've discussed how the paleo diet is not nutritionally superior to other diets. If you get yourself into an eating clean mentality, you'll see results, regardless of what type of meal plan you're following. I would just eat what you like without cutting out specific foods. As long as you're…
