would anyone even run away? We're all fit or on our way to being fit ;D

bumping for later perusal :)

I agree with everyone else. You can go with wine, champagne, or a drink that's straight alcohol. Personally, I like Manhattans. They're pretty strong for me, but I like the quick buzz. :)

bump! This is similar to a question I have.
-
I'm in! But my goal is 10 lbs! :)

I hate getting discouraged. :/ Try changing things up a little to break your plateau! A large calorie deficit by increasing cardio or something. Usually what motivates me is the small changes I see every few days.
-
Great post! Everyone starts somewhere, so I think it's also important to note that we're all on different parts of our journeys- and we all strive to support each other equally regardless. :)

University of California, Davis :) Anyone can feel free to add!

If I'm really struggling, I'll eat it with mustard, tomato, spinach, and bread. So good in an open-faced sandwich!! However, usually I'll just season it with chicken parmesan seasoning or marinate it overnight with fresh orange juice and garlic, then the flavor doesn't need accompaniment.

Hi! I'm almost a 21 year old female, but I'm from California :) I would love to join anyone on their journey! I have about 15 pounds to lose, but it's these last pounds that are getting me down.... Anyone can feel free to add me for motivation and support! I log on daily.

Thank you for this! I appreciate input from people who seem to have some knowledge of the biological processes behind metabolism. I'm going to try to increase my protein intake, and hopefully that helps!
-
Thanks! don't worry, I'm not worried about looking fat. I rather like the increase in strength, and even if I DID look fat, I'd feel way better about myself afterwards. I'll add you! :)

Thank you ! This was helpful. Your second approach sounds like something worth trying.

I lost about 20 lbs before gaining weight back, but no shoe size reduction occurred!

Looking for a twin :) 5'6.5" Currently weigh 142.6. Goal weight of 130ish!! 21 years old. I lift, do cardio, and update my journal daily.

I second this. Plus the crunch is satisfying.

I'm almost 5'7" I started strength training about a month ago, and am aiming to finally get down to my previous weight. Weight: 142.4 lbs Bust - 34" Waist - 30.5" Hips - 35.5-36"

Eh. Because are donuts worth it? If there were cookies, I might say just go for it!! But for the calorie content and flavor, donuts aren't very satisfying to me. They feel so light and dissatisfying. I like something with a bit more of a chewy or solid texture. If donuts are your thing, maybe you can eat one every once in…

Hi! I'd love to be motivated and motivating. :) Anyone here can feel free to add me!!

Hello! I'm a little over 5'6" and have about 14 pounds left to lose! :) I started with 18 left, so I've been making progress for a month now! Anyone here can feel free to add me.

This was back when I was in eighth grade and weighed 165 pounds. Two girls threw a ball at my butt when I bent over, and then laughed about it. I've never weighed that much since :/ Also, throughout my childhood, my nickname from my family was "gorda," which some of you may know translates to calling me "fat girl" or…

Agreed. One time I got food poisoning and I couldn't eat or drink or even think of food for 3 days. I got past my plateau, but at a terrible cost. It's an awful feeling, not knowing whether you're about to **** or vomit or both.

Hi! I'm Joan. I'm 21, and I'm looking for motivation and to lose weight too :) I've been on track for about 5 weeks now! Anyone can feel free to add me!

Mornings usually. I find that I control my cravings better if I workout before any major eating, and I have tons of energy for the rest of the day. I feel accomplished, even when I have to wake up earlier than usual to do it. I've tried doing evenings and have found that it just won't happen...
-
I agree wholeheartedly. I'll have a cupcake or whatever when I feel like it. I feel much happier when I do :)
-
Hi! I'm 21, hoping to reach my goal weight sometime this year :) I like active friends and am hoping to help motivate too! Anyone here can feel free to add me.

Thanks so much for the input!! I'll keep in mind that progress will be slow, and keep on doing what I've been doing :)
