I can see "Ferric (III)"

Discovered something interesting, to me anyway. The protein bars I've been having for the last few months contain 59% RDA of Iron. Is the sugar in the chocolate good for something? or is it just the whole blood sugar thing.
-
I've made a booking, and it's between lunch and dinner time. I think I might go over my calories that day.
-
I've never given blood before, so I don't know the procedure too well. Thanks for listing iron sources. I know of two, red meat and spinach. Didn't know about a lot of the ones mentioned. I'll be drinking a tonne of water that day. I always carry 1 litre on me during the day anyway.
-
Yeah, I think I need more red meat and spinach or something to boost my iron. I don't really eat that many foods with high iron content nowadays.

Probably 60 - 70 endo and the rest meso. Have a lot of extra weight, hardly ever worked out before but have lots of arm and leg muscles, can do pretty well at most sports if I can be bothered.

...I love to cook, and no matter how you pimp up something that's good for you it's not as good looking as an unhealthy thing.
-
As you said, you ate nothing but junk food in your very first post. Doesn't sound that balanced to me. You can backtrack all you want.
-
All you can eat chinese buffet. I put on like 2lbs the day after going
-
I've got a few. No junk food, no processed food, no sugary drinks, eat lean meats, unless special occasion no alcohol, walk if possible. That's all I can think of for now. Also, eat a tonne of vegetables.
-
Don't really know the difference. But wholegrains/wheat/meal foods are in theory slower digesting and give you a steady flow of energy. I only eat them now, and I feel that they do keep me full for longer.
-
No, the most memorable thing you said was "I ate nothing but junk food and posted my diary daily to prove a point. It's all about calories. You know the results? Lost 12lbs and no loss in LBM(Lean body mass) " NOTHING BUT JUNK FOOD, NOTHING. Also, just because you're certified doesn't mean you're the encyclopaedia on it.…

A lot of this stuff is inconclusive. Says that there are things that can't be measured and that the professor himself isn't completely convinced. Also, he's been having vegetables and protein shakes. PROTEIN shakes, not MCDONALD'S shakes. Seems like your war against protein isn't support by the twinkie challenge, I'm…

It's also healthier to be thin from whole food that thin from processed junk

Eat a pound of pure sugar and tell me it doesn't turn into fat. Don't know if these mention fat around the heart or not. But they tell ou how good sugar is for humans. http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1983542,00.html http://www.abc.net.au/health/features/stories/2012/08/30/3578541.htm#.UHpwwGlxte4

So why don't you just not eat anything and lose a lot more weight? Vegans can still eat protein and a tonne of it. You're forgetting there are vegetarian sources of protein aren't you? Can't believe there's someone out there that defends junk food and is slating protein. Also, about your lettuce vs protein thing, you'll…

What you eat is VERY and probably THE MOST important thing. Some person posted that he ate junk food and still lost weight. But that's surely not the way to go. I think herion users lose weight too, do you want a hit of that to help you? Basically what I'm trying to say is, what you eat is important, for health reasons and…

Eating too much sugar on a regular basis can cause fat to amass around the outside of the heart.

When I first started using mfp some completely random guy added me, I thought ok there's no harm in adding someone. He then started to message me all the time, and it's usually about how he's not doing that great or that he's getting cravings whilst staring at a chocolate bar. The worst thing is, he doesn't actually use…

25% looks the nicest in my opinion

Don't really know if it helps to lose weight. I'm really saying I'm ignorant to the fact. What I do instead of completely getting rid of all bread or whatever, I'm only eating wholegrain versions of them. So instead of white bread I go for granary bread, instead of normal white rice I have brown rice, etc. I don't think…
-
Probably no nice way of saying this. You can't pick areas to lose from, just doesn't work that way. Only thing you can do is lose fat and it will eventually go away. Burn it with cardio and tone up with weights.
-
edit: last comment too harsh
-
You can lift lighter at the start and build your strength up from there. Cardio alone however, will eat your muscle too. When you lift weights you're telling your body that you need the muscle and it will focus more on your fat for energy. If you only do cardio you'll end up at your ideal weight but look gaunt.

Turkey/chicken breast with spices dry rubbed then onto a GF grill. I mix hot and spicy with bbq flavour. Snack: if you can find it, peeled chestnuts.

I wouldn't say that it's essential but it does help. I've cut out ridiculously fatty meats. No matter what you say, sat fats aren't going to be good for you. Alcohol I've cut too. Booze can be as bad as fats if you don't pay attention to how much you have.
-
I can see people disagreeing with me already, because I have quite a lower calorie count for a guy, but here goes. I never eat breakfast because I'm not hungry in the morning, just a glass of water and either cod liver oil or a vitamin pill. This is just a personal preference, not everyone likes to take supplements. If…

Also, instead of thinking about what you're putting in, think about what you'll get out of it.
