I can understand your argument. I don't know if it matters much to anyone, but the OP said she recalculated her numbers from averages to totals and it showed that she was eating in excess: HOWEVER, whether or not her calculations are accurate, is another story. But if she is indeed right, her problem is that she is eating…

Holy Moly. Congratulations!

Your argument is COMPLETELY anecdotal. There is absolutely no evidence that suggests saturated fat is linked to having a stroke. CONCLUSIONS: I second this^^^^ And there are HUNDREDS of these studies. Would you like a list???

> Yes. The highly educated do tend to be 'yuppies', but that doesn't suggest that they're wrong.

You should lose however much you want to lose love, and not let others decide what's good/bad/needs work for you.

2 WEEKS?!?!??!?! CHEESEANDRICE! Get this woman to a doctor STAT!!!! If you're not in built like an athlete after 2 whole weeks of working out there must be something SERIOUSLY wrong with you! You're not defeated love, but YOU have to believe in your own worth before anyone else can. Take care of YOURSELF and forget about those around you. Start with changing the way you think and BELIEVE that you're worth taking care of (physically and emotionally). The rest will put itself together.

You have the capability to lose just as much weight as any MANimal love... ...you just need a bit more faith then they do that's all.

Yes. If you don't like it then exercise as much as possible. Every five pounds is a good rule, or if you experience an extended stall.

That's because you're a woman. You'd be SHOCKED how much water weight can mask true fat loss. Rule of thumb: take the expected results you'd see for a man on a given weightloss plan and add anywhere between 4-8 weeks to see those same results if you have two X chromosomes.

This is your daily NET calories - not the calories you're supposed to eat daily. So if you eat 1700 calories a day, but burn 800 calories doing some sort of exercise you will come in under your goal. If your set your net calorie goal to your BMR and exercise regularly to maintain a deficit (I.e. complete your food diary…

Low-Carb dieting has made it possible for me to lose weight. HOWEVER, I plateaued for close to 2 years until recently when I started to re-incorporate carbohydrates back into my diet (in moderation). I never go over 150 grams of carbohydrates a day, I have started weight-lifting and intense cardio conditioning, and have…
