I made gluten free egg rolls last night using rice paper wrappers and Bragg's amino acids (in place of the soy sauce). They were excellent! I really like sandwich wraps for lunch so I tried La Tortilla Factory Gluten Free Wraps. Not my favorite, but there are others to try. For dinner tonight I'm making Quinoa…

Thanks to the OP for posting this...I am day one gluten free and am really looking for ideas. To know that it takes about a year to be comfortable really helps. I went grocery shopping today and was a little overwhelmed! Lots of great ideas. I am grateful that I make most my own food already. I am a little sad about blue…

I was put on Topomax for migraines...didn't work for migraines and I had terrible brain fog. I think I got dumber each day! Oh, and the weight loss? Zero. My appetite was just fine.

Mats are good as it is a plain cement floor. And nothing is obvious...so no facing the wall:) Or if I have to, make sure there's something good to stare at!

Thanks, but I have the equipment, it's the set up I'm looking for. For example, is there something you did that you would have set up differently? Any thing you think helps, for example, I know I'll want music for cardio and a mirror for the free weights, but what things aren't that obvious that I will want. I only want to…

Are you both hydrated? Then who cares? BTW, I stick to the study done by Backpacker Magazine that showed beer rehydrated you better than plain water:)

I just made up my own today and loved it! Here's what I made...it's pretty easy to improvise: 1 avocado 1/2 cup frozen blueberries 1 banana 2 cups baby spinach 1 tbsp honey 1 tbsp lime juice 1 1/2 cups water (more or less, depending on how thick you want it) Blend all in a blender until smooth. Makes 2 servings.

I had never heard of it, so being curious I googled this product. I would do some more research if you're considering this product. It's linked to 2 deaths and has received a warning letter from the FDA regarding it's safety.

You CAN'T legally or medically do anything for an adult. If she is an adult, unfortunately, you can't go complaining to her dad or a doctor. Yes, you can. It's called an emergency hold and is reserved for circumstances like this. It's a last resort for someone that is in danger of self harm due to mental illness. No, you…

Her family needs to get her to an ER for a psych eval. She can be held against her will for 72 hours if she is deemed a danger to herself, which if what your describing is true, she is. They can also call 911 if she won't go willingly, as this is a psychological emergency. This may seem harsh, but it may be the only way to…

While, yes we are all individuals with some different needs and preferences, the bottom line is eat less/exercise more. I am a 44 yo female with hypothyroidism. There is nothing different though in what it takes for me to lose weight.

I'm a lifetime ww member who recently switched to mfp (ww is free for me). mfp seems to have a more comprehensive data base, but may not always be accurate. The reason I like mfp better is it tracks macros, giving me better information. Other than following the good health guidelines in ww, I have no idea what I'm eating…

Glad you reposted it...LOVE IT! I'm new to mfp, but not new to trying to be healthy. For a year and a half I've been slowly making healthy changes for a lousy 20 pounds. Fast? Nope. Effective? Highly! Are there bumps on the road? Of course. Are there skeptics? Oh yeah...

The brewer's yeast has a stronger flavor than wheat germ, it's kind of a nutty taste and I like it in smoothies and yogurt. I was warned when I started it that there were only a few brands that were tasty, so I ordered the Lewis Labs brand and once I decided I liked it I never tried any others. Hope it works for you!

There are several good books on the subject (my favorite is The Beck Diet Solution), but for the best resources and motivation, register at weight watchers and go to the message boards. There is a message board called "out of control" and a daily thread called the "binge enders challenge". The message boards and blogs on…

I set my timeline to when I hit goal, but then realized I'd been at "goal" before and then slipped! I set my new timeline to 6 months at goal. So far I've slipped a little and am getting back, but wondering if getting the tattoo would have given me a more visual reminder to stay on track. So, for me, this time it will be…

I've recently discovered brewer's yeast as a great protein source (and most B vitamins, although not so much B12). Lewis Labs Premium brewer's yeast is edible and higher in protein than some (no, I don't work for them, I just like this brand). Might help you hit that protein goal and get some more B vitamins.

My HRM went wacky whenever I got within a certain range of my TV. Polar confirmed that TV and other electronic devices can affect the HRM (they recommended facing the other way...yes, that meant my back would be to the TV!).
