Great work! I wonder how many calories you've logged in those 1000 days. Rough estimate: 2000 x 1000 days = 2 million calories!!

I am 6'2". Started at 281. Currently between 217-222 depending on what the scale decides. Goal is 190ish. Anywhere under 200 and I will be happy. My goal used to be 170lbs, but at my height, I don't think it's maintainable for me long term. I like food and muscles too much.

Steak, fish of any kind, turkey, anything from Taco Bell, pork, and avocado *shudders*. I ate lobster and clam chowder for the first time in my life while on vacation in Maine last year and promptly found out I am deathly allergic to shellfish. Grumble grumble. Now I have to carry an Epipen with me because even being in…

Weird, definitely post a public question on the "contact us" option at the bottom of the MFP homepage. I had a glitch with the mobile app a few weeks ago and they replied very quickly with a resolution.
-
I'm sorry :/ do the entries show up when you go to the website on a computer? I would report the problem through the website so that MFP is aware of it. I noticed an app update last night when I plugged my phone in, might have been some sort of error when it updated?

Same here. B)

OP, by your logic... you say it's the cleaning of one's plate that causes weight gain. So, therefore, would having leftovers not be the solution to this? You could have a plate of food that amounts to 1600 calories, but if you eat half one day and take the second half home as leftovers to eat the next day, you've eaten 800…

^^I can not stand the texture of cold hard boiled eggs at all. I can eat a hard boiled egg while it's still hot (and then, I eat it all by itself with a spoon right out of the shell). Funny how some of us can't stand certain foods and others love them! :) There are a lot of raw vegetables that I won't touch.
-
I also have severe textural issues with certain foods. I am a vegetarian for this reason... can't stand the texture. I have been eating the same exact salad for dinner for the past few days: 2 servings of raw Pillsbury pizza dough baked in the oven at 425 plain until golden brown (amounts to 130g of raw dough before…

If I remember correctly I believe that one is calculating your TDEE for you, so you would need to subtract a percentage from that number in order to have the total number you should eat in a day to lose weight (if you have a lot of weight to lose, 20%, if you are close to your goal, 5-10% off of your TDEE). Basically it's…

I'd use gruyere if it's available/affordable. It's so expensive here, if you can get it for a reasonable price in NL, by all means, use it! It also makes an amazing grilled cheese sandwich BTW... :) Also, to add a little sharpness to the macaroni and cheese, you can add a little mustard / mustard powder. I always add it…

Some vegetables might have a protein content when you look at the percentage of the calories that are protein, but the volume of that particular food that you'd need to eat to get any appreciable amount of protein would be challenging to say the least. Broccoli, as an example: 1,000g of raw broccoli (this is a LOT of…

Squat 175lbs by the end of the month.

When places put out free food like this, I always imagine that they're cooked in the types of kitchens you see on TV on Bar Rescue or Kitchen Nightmares. Then I feel better about not eating one ;)

Trader Joe's has a microwavable vegetarian organic chili in a can that is to die for (there's also chicken and turkey chili that my husband likes). I drive almost an hour to the closest TJ's near me once a month to buy it. I regularly have a whole can as a meal, and I add in plain greek yogurt and cheese to add some…

When I used to run a lot more than I do now, I wore reflective clothing, had yaktrax for snow and ice, and ran in areas with at least a few streetlights so I could see my footing... one of those headlamps was never for me. I also brought my big black pit bull with me, and she was definitely a deterrent to anyone that may…

^So much this.

^^Our profile pictures look eerily similar lol!! And OP: You look amazing! I am looking forward to fitting into the pair of jeans that's been in my closet for a few years that I have never been able to wear.

My diary is open to everyone, feel free to browse.
-
Hard to say. I am 6'2", 215-220lbs depending on water weight etc., and I wear a size 10 or 12 in pants depending on the brand. I have a 36"+ inseam. At 281lbs, I wore a size 16/18 depending on brand.

Well since you have it all figured out... I'll just quote the poster above me:
-
300g almonds / 6 = 50g per serving = 293 calories per 50g. Plus ~90-120 calories for a banana. Plus however many calories are in your oatmeal, maybe 120-150 calories depending on flavors etc. That's 503 calories with low estimates, 563 with the higher estimates. Not 300 calories like you thought you were eating every day.
-
I need to look into this...
-
Are you weighing the almonds, banana, and oatmeal? What about the cottage cheese with muesli? I get what you're saying about your lunch and/or dinner... that you cook the stuff once and divvy it up into 6 portions, but you don't seem to be doing that with breakfast based on the types of things you're eating. 28g of almonds…

This is my worst nightmare. I do a squat test in all pants/shorts before wearing them to the gym for this very reason.
-
Yeah, I hear you. I normally have breakfast and coffee really early when I wake up, something small like at 11 for lunch, and by noon-1pm, the foodfest begins. I could very easily eat 6k calories from 12pm-onward though.

Student... loads.... *gigglesnort*

Are we talking 6000 calories just for Thanksgiving dinner? Or for the whole day?

always so hungry

I used to mix a whole pint of sour cream with a packet of lipton onion soup mix and eat it for dinner with a jumbo bag of sour cream and onion chips. Eating a whole Domino's pizza was also a regular occurrence. Oh... and 3-4 egg and cheese on a bagel sandwiches from a deli near my house when I was in college. I could eat…
