My little sister has one of those-I was thinking about either that or a small camelback. And 3-4 miles is where it starts man! I started with 1 mile without stopping, that was an accomplishment. Worked my way up from there! I could have gone 8-8.5 today easy if my sugar hadn't dropped. Once you learn what your stride…

Good point there. I have thought about glucose gel, glucose shots and/or powerade/gatorade...those all seem like good ideas. Biggest issue with the powerade/gatorade is you have to carry it. :(

Thanks a lot-it is unpredictable is the most frustrating thing. I can do the exact thing two days in a row, but my blood sugar does completely different things...crazy.

Really..."if you woke up in bed with the person above you" gets attention...but legitimate fitness questions don't. SMH

_KrunA_, Tuscany baby...wine country all the way.

How can you know you don't have diabetes if you haven't been to a doctor? I'm just saying if you're not on a ketogenic diet and if you're not diabetic, having ketones in your urine is not normal. I'm going to continue giving you advice you don't want. Go to the doctor.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but it totally depends on what you mean by glucose being in the "diabetic" range... Once you've crossed a certain threshold, diabetes doesn't go away. Blood sugar levels can be maintained at a certain level with diet, exercise and sometimes medication... Unfortunately there is a lot of…

Boxers. All the way. BOXERS/WIGGLEBUTTS!

Hot damn, lady! Your'e an inspiration! Incredible transformation.

1.) My eyes 2.) My cooking/baking skills 3.) My fashion sense

Biggest issue for me is depending on what my blood glucose is doing before I run, I may need something, I may not. If I do need something, I try to get a combo of carb and protein...the peanut butter toast used to be my go-to. I love hard boiled eggs but they don't seem to sit with me that well when I run :/

HRM, Distance, GPS...let's just make it easy and say all of those.

Sometimes I wear a shelf bra (inside my tank top) or a sports bra if it's comfy...especially during that time of the month when I'm a bit sore...LoL. TMI? Whatever.
-
Even if I wanted to I couldn't. Type I diabetic on a high carb diet...I would fully expect my doctor to slap me.

I do love figs-maybe I should get some more of those in the house. My biggest issue is that I'd generally prefer to run on an empty stomach, but if my blood sugar is low when I get up (even if I put my insulin pump on suspend), I would just drop like a rock as soon as I hit the trails, so it's a better idea for me to grab…

This month I'm aiming for 20-25. Last month I made 15.

Get. Good. Shoes. Best advice anyone ever gave me. I got shin splints and rolled my ankles regularly. I finally went to one of those nice (albeit expensive) running stores and was fitted with a really nice pair of shoes...I've loved running ever since.

I just try not to go more than 5 hours. I eat something small usually every 4 hours or so...a slice of toast, a granola bar, a piece of fruit, handful of nuts (insert obvious joke)

Pull hard? Twist? Squeeze? These all seem like good options.

I mean no really...do you think that is what being a fruitarian is?
-
I envy you...mine didn't take off this year like I wish it had.

Well that much is true. Cardio has it's own benefits to keep us in shape. But I see your point.
-
Cardio only once or twice a week for 30 minutes? So runners can never have a ripped stomach? I think that point may need a little adjustment there...I love me some cardio. Pilates will also get you a flat toned stomach. Just saying. There are many ways to get there. Not just one.

Keep doing the elliptical for breaks...it's easier on the knees and if you need a day to rest your joints, it's a great way to keep up your mileage without stressing your knees/hips. Some people prefer trails or asphalt/pavement. I am a trail person. I'd rather run on a dirt trail than on the pavement-it feels easier on my…

Never thought I'd be a runner either. It took me a long time to get to the point where I could run for 10 minutes without stopping. Now that I'm able to enjoy it (being outside, the heart pounding, silence on the trail), I look forward to my run in the morning. Now if only the stupid muggy summer weather would take a…

I'd be starving if I did this. 1700 calories/day. And I'm getting into great shape.
-
Umm...put your hands together...do both. Espresso IN coffee...yes.... Nothing wrong with coffee. Just be sure to hydrate the rest of the day.

Never stopped us. Like previous suggestions: Towel, shower after, etc. If you know that the guy you're with is disgusted by that, then just come out and tell him that it's not a good time for that and that you'll get back to him in 5-7 days.
