This so much easier to stick to than WW and you get heaps more support i feel. You get a calorie limit, stick to that and eat whats good for you and treats if you have enough calories spare :) no point calculating , no gimmicks and it really is a lifestyle change. well done for joining the site you will be glad you did!

Increase your calories, if you exercise. :) MFP takes into consideration normal daily movement, anything extra gains you extra calories! So if you earn 150 cals, you can have 1350 that day! It's actually unhealthy and counter productive to not eat the extra calories from exercise so nom those cals! :)

Short term goal for me is to be able to do 10 full push ups.. currently doing 10 knee push ups a night trying to get those arms working!

It doesn't sound like your doing everything right to be honest.. Guessing calories, not weighing food accurately, going over your calorie goal to over 2000 sometimes, doesn''t sound like your sure what your calorie goal is supposed to be either.,
