Good for you! Great weight loss! Have you seen any weight gain with Levemir?
-
Right now I take Metformin ER 2x per day maximum dose. I have taken other drugs in the past but not now because I want to see what I can accomplish by really giving low carb and exercise a shot. My BS are too high but since I have been lchf andd exercsing more, the numbers seem to be getting better. But, if I slip up I am…

Just curious... most people posting here do very well on FBS. May I ask, are you getting such great readings via diet and exercise alone; Metformin; other drugs or insulin?

I have read that some medical people think that the "resolution" of TTD via surgery has to do with some mechanism in the intestines of Type Two Diabetics. I have also read that Lap Band does not have the same rate of success in resolving TTD as the more invasive surgeries. Diabeteses is a complex disease and many medical…

"Well, I am one of this people who gain five pounds in a day so I do get impatient. I have been plugging away at it but as I have lost weight more quickly in the past with what seemed like less effort, I am left a bit puzzled. I'm still sticking wit the MFP a plan but I see others losing weight much easier and I wonder if…

-
Yes, I would, too!

Thanks for the list! I have been doing a little yoga, too! Good luck with the Pilates :)

OK< a small victory for me today. 180. Firs time I got lower than 200!!!!

Wow! This is really interesting. The water aerobic session last night was all about contractions-- the Ibstructor had us "hold in and squeeze" different muscle groups. Maybe that's why I am seeing the impact. What are some other examples of "long interval repetitive motion exercises"??

Stress can cause us to eat more and make bs rise. I suggest taking a few days to get back to normal and then pick it up again and you will get back on track.

when I started they were spiking pretty high if I ate sweets. Now they are in 200 to 155 range. Better than before nut still nit where they should be. I am eating about 1400 calories a day with a cheat here and there.
-
Wow, that's great. I am also on Metformin but I am wondeering if I am eating too many carbs. About 60 per day. How about you? Still have FBS numbers in 200 range. Doc wants me to go back on Levemir but I am trying to get numbers down with a better diet and more exercise.

Drink bottled water! Try "hotpot" and remembeer in China they eat everything with 4 legs except the table. Also, it will be really hot so hydrate.

s it has been about a month since I went low carb e.g. from 40 to 60 carbs per day and and about 1400 max. Calories. I have lost maybe 3-4 lbs--but it does vary from day to day. Trying to get more exercise in too. is this fairly typical? The weight loss is much slower than the last time I did this regime about 2-3 years…

Its odd that my numbers are lowest in late afternoon and early evening. I wonder if they are higher in the AM because they are coming down for the high fasting numbers. I have been doing low carb for about a month and also take Metformin ER.
-
232 this number is so hard to budge!
-
Sorry to ask a basic question- bit what does it mean by "setting my macros" and how do I do that? Thank you!
-
Thank! That give me a good ballpark.
-
Interesting idea :re protein levels. What should they be for a Type 2 diabetic?
-
I actually have one of those symptoms that us kind of weird-- it is about "hearing Lag" i.e. it takes me more time than usual to process what someone is saying and I have to ask them to repeat it sometimes. Peope say that I am not listening but I am--just takes me more time to "get it"-- anyone have this? In terms of…
