That's a relief! I was hoping I was just retaining water and not gaining fat!! Any tips on loosening tight muscles? I noticed I have a lot more since starting strength. I tried a foam roller but that thing kills me! Lol

I never wet mine and it always seems to work just fine :)

That's a nice way of thinking about it! I might try telling myself that and see if it helps at all :)

It doesn't sound mean at all... Your answer had a lot of truth in it and was really helpful! Thanks so much!! :)

That's cool! I ended up getting the Schwinn 431... And it's not just light use everyday, it's usually intense min. 90min workouts. I decided on Schwinn because before I got my elliptical I got a Schwinn exercise bike and it came damaged so I called and the customer service was great and they sent me a new one right away. I…

How do you know what the right balance is? When you take a rest day, do you ever worry you won't continue your routine the following day? I'm working on figuring out the why.. It's a slow process :/ I've continued to exercise even when I've been injured, or sick. If I feel exhausted or something I tell myself to push thru…

I've used my elliptical everyday for about a yr... I have a Schwinn model I got from Amazon(free delivery:) Craigslist can be nice but be careful too... Before deciding to spend the extra $$ on a new one, I got one on CL and the next day it broke so I was SOL and out $100.

Thanks for the replies! My workouts are usually pretty intense, 99% of the time I get my heart rate into its target zone. Normally I exercise at least 90mins everyday(lots of days more than that) doing cardio. I've been told by professionals before that I need to give my body a break, and my body tells me that too…

Mine is 46 :)

Thanks for all the supportive comments everyone!!!! This morning when I was out I decided I could and should do it and when I got home I was going to register for it... then my mom called :/ My confidence and enthusiasm was completely deflated... I'm back on the fence again about whether I can do it. Hearing other ppl talk…

Thanks everyone!!! It sounds so intimidating! Lol It's called Run or Dye and throughout the race they throw washable safe paint on you so it sounds like so much fun!

Hi, I can relate to wanting to lose a lot. It's definitely a struggle sometimes! If you had asked me a yr ago(abt how long it's taken me to lose this much) I never would've imagined I'd be able to lose this much. Now, looking back, the time really has gone by fast... But when I was going thru each day it didn't feel that…

I started at that size... I'm a size 6 for pants now and small on top. It's taken me about a yr. Congrats on being pregnant! :)

Make sure to get good running shoes! Doing strength exercises are important too... It helps prevent cardio injuries(my physical therapist told me that-- wish I knew before I had started running tho!)
-
^^ I agree. I'm a mess right now from under eating and exercising too much... Some days I feel like my body is falling apart at 28! Don't make my mistake!

Normally I skip breakfast but sometimes I have a Quest bar :)

I just recently read an article about a study that was done on people who eat at McDonalds... And since McDonalds started putting nutrition facts on the menu a lot of people have actually been eating more. So just because ppl know what's in their food, doesn't mean it'll make a difference... People have to want to change

I feel ridiculous sometimes because it'll be 70s... Sometimes 80s! And I'll have a long sleeve hoodie on or long sleeve shirt. Hope my body gets use to it too

I'm too obsessed w/ exercise(working on that)... But tried going on fam vacation several wks ago. We drove all day... I started panicking because I had exercised only 90mins and the day was getting closer to being over. Once we got there I couldn't take it, and came home... 1st thing I did was get on the scale--gained…

A lot of things I like have already been said but I didn't see cucumbers mixed w/ sour cream... Or cucumbers mixed w/ apple cider vinegar(I know a lot of ppl don't like acv but I don't think it's bad w/ cucumbers)

I don't eat breakfast. My physical therapist told me breakfast isn't the most important meal, your post workout meal is. idk for sure if that's true but I believe him

Proper running shoes are important... I would suggest going to a specialty store so they can tell you. Depending on how you run/how your foot hits the ground helps determine what type of shoe you need. And it also depends on where you run(road or trail running) :)

Bump :)

There's such a thing as too much of a good thing. You should google exercise addiction... You'll learn a lot and how it can be harmful. I'm a little like you and struggling w/ the same thing at the moment. Lately I've been trying to take it easier because my body is definitely suffering from all the abuse.

I'd recommend a dietician too. I saw my primary care doctor and she gave me a referral to one... So maybe if you have a PCP they could give you a referral?

I can relate! I've lost a lot too but according to BMI I'm still 11lbs from being "healthy" and not "overweight". From height/waist ratio and BF% I'm healthy and an ideal weight/size but I can't just let it go that the stupid bmi says I'm overweight. My dr, dietician, and pretty much everyone else tells me the bmi system…
