Ohhh! Thanks for all the info!! So the TDEE I don't need to add exercise calories... but the dietician told me 1650 plus exercise calories so maybe I've been eating too much? I was at like 145-150 for a year and then in the past few months I've gained about 10lbs so trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I use the…

Thanks for the help! Just looked at that calculator and it says my TDEE is 2032, and BMR is 1390. Not exactly sure what TDEE is, I'm going to have to read more on that. If what I burn is 1390 a day, then shouldn't I eat like 890 to lose weight?(be at a deficit?) But that sounds really low to fuel my exercise activities
-
That's a good point! Thanks for the advice!

I'm on Cozaar. I know I shouldn't go off of them but I don't want to keep gaining. I read a lot of BP meds can cause weight gain so idk if a different one would be any better. I'm eating the same as I always have and still very active(just did a duathlon Sat!) so I can't think of any other reason why I'd be gaining. I went…

No, it's not a diuretic. I read a side effect can be rapid weight gain though. Does anyone know once I've stopped, how long for the weight to drop off?

Thanks for all the replies everyone! I'll try some of those snacking suggestions and see if they help! I do save calories for nighttime but I am still worried since calories can add up quickly. I was exercising like 3-4hrs everyday then finally cut back to 2 and now I'm finally at a more reasonable amount of 1- 1 & 1/2 w/…

I've tried drinking water but so far it hasn't helped. I use to have popcorn but I did that to death so I'm sick of it lol I found lollipops that are only 35cal for 3 but I'm sure I'll end up getting sick of those. I'm not sure how to fix the problem. I don't think I eat because I'm hungry though

I read Mindless Eating when I first started and found it helpful.

I posted this but then I edited and deleted it... Some info: Except for 3 complete rest days, I've exercised everyday for about 1yr & 9mths. I have quite a few overuse injuries because of this... Compressed nerve in foot that causes shooting pain, plantar fasciitis, strained hamstring, arthritis, tendinopathy(torn tendons…

That's awesome you decided to make a change, one day at a time and you'll reach your goals!! For me, I had ptsd(didn't know at the time) and stayed inside all the time and basically did nothing for about a yr(how I gained so much). I was tired of being scared all the time and I finally realized I had to start living my…

I know I'm the only one who can help myself... It just seems impossible. I just had to vent to get it all out because it just seems so larger than life. I thought getting it all out would help. Thanks for the confidence :)

My primary care dr(who doesn't even know about some of my injuries) said at 29 I'm too young to have so many overuse injuries. My dr said I have arthritis now because of all my exercise
-
I've tried taking easy days but I just can't let myself. I exercise for hrs and I always have to keep my heart rate in its target zone That's my biggest worry lately and what my nightmares are about. I'm scared I'll permenantly do something. All 7 of those symptoms describe me

Thanks for the supportive replies everyone. I know it's a problem but anytime I try to stop I convince myself I don't have a problem and force myself to exercise. Everything always says push harder, go longer, don't quit... It's on tv, in magazines, quotes, it's everywhere. I can't stop telling myself that when I try to…

I think I'll look into that New Rules of Lifting for Women... It sounds like I could learn a lot from it! Thanks for all the tips and advice!

Ohhh okay! How many sets/reps should I try to do for squats to build strength? I'll have to try the step ups! How long/often do you usually do them?
-
I don't want bigger legs... I read to get stronger you do more reps/less weight? My arms I want more toned so I try to do less reps/heavier weights............ ?
-
I'll have to look up front squats.. Thanks!! I haven't really tried any other variations Step ups are just where you step up and down.. right? I'm not sure if it's what I'm thinking of Cool, I'll try adding more resistance bands!
-
Thanks!! Right now I usually do 5 sets of 20 squats w/ 60lbs on the barbell... Does that mean I should skip the resistance bands? I can leg press 200 so I feel like it does more since it's more weight but guess squats are still better?
-
Awesome!! Thanks for the info!! I don't feel so bad now if I don't have access to a leg press
-
Those give just as much of a workout? Like Thera-bands? I have some of those from when I was in PT Squats are just as good? When I was in PT they had me doing leg presses so I've just continued with it. I like to make sure I get good leg workouts to help strengthen muscles for running

Thanks.. I hope so! Yes, it's since I lost weight. First they thought it was a strained flexor, 2nd opinion dr said bursitis... Wasn't either of those. Was referred to an Ortho dr and he found I had a torn labrum, and also thinks it's arthritis and FAI(femoral acetabular impingement). From what I've read, the exact cause…
-
Yeah, sadly I do I think I'll try to stick w/ that thinking. I think I'll just ignore the new dr and stick w/ what others have told me. Thanks everyone who was helpful and nice! :)

I did stop getting my periods for a while. After upping my cals I started getting them again.. Last month was the 1st time it was normal in a while. I'm sure I prob measure it wrong tho because I don't think I look like that!
-
Thanks!! Maybe I'll try to go back to being content w/ my current weight. Everyone else tells me I shouldn't lose anymore. I try to exercise less but I can't atm
-
It use to be higher. I could be doing it wrong? I know I still don't eat enough.. Maybe it'll get higher again when I can eat what I'm suppose to? I've done that before. It says my height waist ratio is healthy but I'm still in the overweight range for bmi.

I have calipers and check it at home. If i do it right.. I have about 12% BF
-
My dietician said I should eat 1650cals net... I've been trying to do that
-
Don't judge. I am serious. I was obsessing too much over calories and was restricting way too much so professionals told me to stop tracking
-
So many ppl tell me that but then I hear someone like the dr agree w/ the system and it makes me rethink it all :/
