Thanks for the reply! I was content w/ my weight but now I'm not sure and feel like I should lose 20lbs. Any advice on how to lose more?

I struggle w/ Iron too. I find that some cereals have a lot of Iron... I'm not sure if you can eat that atm tho? If it gets soggy enough in the milk then it wouldn't really need to be chewed much? I was taking an Iron supplement.. But you gotta be careful not to get too much
-
I love cereal as a snack.. I don't get the sugary kind tho. I try to get ones that have a good amount of Iron.
-
That seems low for calories! I'm 5"1. I saw a dietician and she said I should get 1650 net cals a day to lose weight
-
Thanks!! :) That'd be awesome if I felt stronger after taking a break.. Sounds ironic!
-
Was it hard to get back into your routine mentally? Did your muscles feel weaker after going so long w/o working out?

Lots of times I'll eat a whole box of cereal in a day! Today I ate a whole pizza(throughout the day) But I don't go over on cals so I never feel too bad :)
-
I eat more junk/snack food when I have more cals. I'm suppose to eat 1650 plus exercise cals(so about 2650) according to the dietician... I have so many extra cals at the end of the day lots of times I'll have chocolate or ice cream or I'll make cookies sometimes.. Or just other snack food like popcorn, crackers, etc. I'm…

I already do a strength training routine. I first started having pain a few months ago and they thought it was a strained hip flexor so I started physical therapy for it. They told me how ST is important and how it helps prevent cardio injuries so I joined a gym and have been doing that. I know I haven't been eating enough…

I appreciate the responses! I just have so many athletic goals, like wanting to do a triathlon next yr, I don't want to be sidelined from running. When the pain started all I wanted was an answer, but now that I possibly have one I kinda wish I didn't. Thanks for the info! I googled the FAI a little just now. I had a test…

5"1 Started in plus sizes Right now... Pants- Size 6(sometimes 4) Top- Small/xsmall depending how it runs

I'm 5"1. I exercise everyday, usually at least 90mins of cardio... And every other day I do strength training for about an hour. My dietician says to lose, my calorie goal should be 1650 net, and to maintain it should be 2200. I'm working on it, but usually I only net about 500. I wasn't eating back exercise calories for a…

Ohh okay, that makes a lot of sense. I think I'd have to do some googling or get a trainer first before I switched to free weights because I'm not exactly sure how to do everything w/ free weights. I might have to look into a program.. I was trying to be cheap tho lol Thanks for all the great info!!
-
If I don't have good form then I stop. I might try doing that... Pushing myself as hard as I can for an hour and then be done.
-
What do you mean you wasted a yr on machines? I've already lost inches since starting at the gym. I've read a lot of people say free weights are better... I don't get why?
-
Some of them are higher reps like the leg press... I try not to go over 180lbs because going higher seems to hurt my back. Other exercises like the lat pull down I only do like 5 sets, 10 reps of 60lbs... Like w/ those, should I increase the weight and do less? How long should rest periods be?

Once I set the bar so high, I feel like I have to at least do that the next time so 1hr becomes 2, and 2 becomes 3, etc. I've been told by multiple ppl it's too much. I was thinking of scaling back so that's why I was curious what others did
-
Thanks for all the input!! I started out going for an hour but then I bumped it up to 1 & 1/2hrs and now I've been going 2hrs but I was told that was too much(I do at least 90mins of cardio everyday at home on top of this). I kinda wing it when I'm there, I'm not on any program. I usually only give myself 30secs between…

I didn't know I could do that.. That sounds like a way better system for me!! How do I disable that? I don't like the uncertainty of it going up and down
-
My fav is the leg press atm
-
I get it now.. I always just thought that was how many cals I actually burned, not a guesstimate for the day. A little annoying because I don't know how to calculate how many calories to eat back from daily activity :/ At least I understand it now... Thank you!!!
-
Ohhhh!! Okay, I see now.... So I don't know exactly how much I burned until the next day? I thought it calculated as I took each step...?
-
Or sometimes all day it'll say I've burned like 300ish cals... Then I exercise and enter it into mfp, then all of a sudden my fitbit changes to like 30cals...?

Something happened and it caused me to stop living my life. I was scared to go out and so for over a yr I pretty much stayed inside and did nothing and lived off of delivery. That's in the past now tho! I'm getting my life back now! :D
-
Okay, cool! I was confused for a min lol Thanks!! :)
-
I had given up bread products, cheese, pop, coffee creamer, sweets/desserts, fast food, take out, peanut butter, beans, nuts, milk, lattes/cappuccinos, chips, crackers, pretzels, potatoes...... Basically everything that was higher in calories for about a yr. Now I eat pretty much anything I want but in moderation.
-
That's a good point!! I see a change in the scale and think everyone notices but since the measurements are the same, I guess it's really only me who sees. That definitely makes me feel better! :)
-
Thanks for the info!! :)
-
I never thought of taking before pics, thanks for the tip! Hearing so many ppl say its just water is a huge relief!!
-
I rechecked all my measurements and they're the same everywhere. Several days ago when I checked I had lost an inch in some places from the previous time I measured but since gaining in the last few days its stayed the same
