  • Brilliant!! Diet anything else just rubbish and more work for your body to process that could be processing real calories.
  • 4. Expensive Urine is one way I've heard them described. A balanced diet and you'll be fine. Unless a short term hit whilst pregnent or recovering from something.
  • Depends on what you want to do. To get you set up with a weights programme and nutritional advise a good one well worth it. Just as a motivator you can't go past gym classes. I've rejoined a gym after 5 years. Had never done classes before (excpet spinning) and doing them now and loving it. Some take a while to get into…
  • Use to have skim latte's .... Made switch to long blacks. Save a heck of a lot of calories and started to enjoy the coffee more.

  • Think about your next vacation and how great you can look for for that. No point dwelling on it now.... enjoy your vacation!
  • Quite right. Also find the more refined (less natural) the less you should eat. Cut back bread, pasta and bagels (even wholemeal)
  • no that's why i have a wife :)
  • Cottage Cheese and Gherkin or tomoto on cruskits always good. Or on raw carrot if really keen...
  • I'm lucky enough to go to a Les Mills gym with classes where have the step for lying on. Just allows you to do the Chest and Tricept exercises more effeciently. Assuming you doing on video at home? Buy a step and then do the Aerobic Step workouts too. They a great cardio workout and females like them for their toning of…
  • Of the 3 groups (Fat and Carbs being the other) protein the best if trying to loose weight. Whereas the other 2 add to fat (through Sugar) Protein is more likely to go to muscle. Ie have a protein shake rather than a takeaway thickshake. If going to eat one group over another then go for protein if got a choice. (Up to a…
  • A lot depends on what you eat too. Not all calories are created equal. If you want to eat back your exercise then a big mac and thickshake at the way home from the gym not the way. Exercise a key part of weight loss and especialy if you want to keep it off. I joined a gym about 6 weeks ago and was not losing weight…
  • all in moderation. Am meaning to buy a HRM. Seems to be plenty of advise on them on the forums. Cheers Tim
  • In terms of the food groups protein the best one to be over. On the MFP having protein at the expense of sugar, fat and many carbs a good thing! eg Best to snack on a protein shake rather than a chocolate biscuit even if more calories in it.
  • so true. I have a whole pack of 99% fat free yoghurt in the fridge and after scanning the first one I'd say they will expire. Fat free is usually replaced with sugar which turns to fat anyway unless burned off. (and worse for you than many natural fats)
  • Just joined up to MFP 2 days ago. Been going religiously to the gym for past 6 weeks and not lost any weight. Feel better and been doing body pump twice a week so thinking (hoping) being converting fat to muscle. Anyway logging on MFP now and keen to see how other similar males getting on. Am 6"3 and looking at losing…
