Sounds to me like you're already on your way to losing the weight cuz you've got the proper "mindset" and beating Cancer is awesome!! I hope that when you look in the mirror now-you see a FIGHTER!! Not a sexless person! I know what you mean about that though-I used to be thin, before medications....but I noticed as I…

Don't beat yourself up about the exercising-Fibro is something we cannot control. I wanted to apologize to you for not being a very good support person lately-I fell off the "dieting-wagon" this past couple week, so I have not checked in as much as I should. The weather changing is getting to me-rainy, cold ****ty weather…

I think it helps me out alot more if I work out during my TOM...the cramping is less severe and it seems to make "it" go away sooner....(sometimes a warm heating pad or one of those heat patches on my lower abdomen after a workout helps too)..

How do I know what amount of salt intake is ok for me? I am about 5'3" and weigh 152# and unfortunately I'm a salt-o-holic!! It's on there with alot of others that you don' find anywhere else...even simple household stuff like ironing etc. It's worth a look....Good Luck!!

It's hard to get started being more active but you are correct about losing some of the weight helping with your pain levels. I'm a newbie and a fibromite also and until this year dieting was never a necessity. I gained over 50# in the last year or so from one of the new fibro meds-I am to the point that walking up stairs…

Hello Madre, I am new to this site (only started about a week ago) and new to dieting as well. I have just started pre-menopause and I'm struggling with some of the symptoms, mainly the hotflashes and now nitesweats -I can't give you much info on either but I'm a good listener and would gladly be a support person!! I…

I use "Silk Soy Milk-Almond flavor"...I've never tried the unsweetened but the regular(?) is only 60 calories per serving I believe...it's really good. My OB/GYN suggested it for pre-menopausal women because soy products boost estrogen levels and can ward off MILD hot flashes and other symptoms. Good stuff!! :drinker:

Hello-I'm a newbie too. This is my first day of this program and the first REAL DIET PLAN I've ever tried...in the past year and a half I've gained over 50# from a new medication~it got to the point that I have trouble making it to the top of the stairs without breathing hard. That was the "aha moment" for me. I have since…
