I follow new recipes to the exact measurements. Once I've made them several times I can usually eyeball it

I pay $0/mo. I could care less to take the time to commute to a local gym, so I workout at home immediately after getting off work.

I can't seem to find crap for any technical specifications on this rack. Looks sleek but lack of specs is a deal killer.

Lean meats, fish, and egg whites are my go to sources of proteins that are lower on calories because they contain little to no fat. I looked at your diary but don't see anything wrong with the amount you're getting. As a general rule for building muscle about ~0.7 to 1g per lb of lean body mass. You'll need more once your…

Imo the whole "cheat meal" thing is a crock of ****. When I first started dieting I use to do the "cheat meal", then I started calling it an "earned meal" (earned from not missing any workout days that week.) Then that progressed to a cheat day. It didn't seem to matter what I ate, if I still maintained my macros and…

Another vote for shirataki tofu noodles. Some people complain of the fishy smell, but that's because they did not rinse and parboil them. I just made some tuna casserole with them yesterday, tastes amazing!

Kale. And it makes me angry cause I love the nutritional profile it has

Exercises that strengthen your rotator cuff are going to be the best choice. Shoulder injuries suck, and they take a long time to fully heal. Shoulder should be down and back, chest out, and the elbow should be pulled back along your hips (too far and the elbow will move towards the shoulder and away from hips). Generally…

Beef liver contains a lot as well

I never use MFPs calories burned values for any exercise. Way too many variables come into play for it to be even remotely accurate.

This is also a reason why it is a good idea to log your measurements if you're trying to lose weight. Also, the closer you get to a certain body fat (around 15% for some people), the slower the weight comes off and often the extra work to lose more doesn't make a substantial difference (your mileage may vary)

While I am not certain which formula MFP uses, it is likely either the Harris-Benedict equation or a Estimated Energy Requirement (EER) equation. For the ratios of fat, protein, and carbohydrates it would seem to correlate to the median value of the Dietary Reference Intake (DRI). In addition the EER equations and DRIs are…

I pretend the hunger feeling is thirst for water. It works for most of the time. In days that it doesn't I have tea instead

Support? She tried to sabotage my goals. The more progress I made and the happier I became the more effort gave trying to show she didn't like it. Needless to say, I parted ways after 7 years. Like I've always said to people, it's a lifestyle..

Squat, deadlift, and bb rows. Any big compound movement really.. Standing shoulder press, rows, dips, bench press, a db press, etc.

I'm a strong advocate of listening to your body, I let hundreds of calories slip all the time as long as my daily intake was reasonable (>1200)
-
And it's really convenient to get things going when it comes for your main meal of the day. Take everything all out at once, balance cooking times, viola!
-
I use to do the 5-6 meals a day thing, but now i do 2 and getting great results. Edit: I'm doing IF with a 4-6 hour eating window
-
I also figure my meals well in advance.

You don't necessarily need to eat back your calories, but you do need to make sure your body is getting enough nutrients and calories for normal function. For the long term nobody should really be below 1200 calories a day, especially unsupervised. For a person of your age, gender, weight, and height your resting metabolic…

What you are referring to are people saying their body is in "survival mode", where it inhibits them from losing more weight when their calories are too low. So what they do is have a day where they eat a large amount of calories to "jump start" the weight loss again. You'll hear a lot of mixed opinions on this, but it has…

Gallon/day is nothing to worry about

Great idea! Curious, in case of an apple does a 24-hour soak cause it to spoil?

What is considered low calorie for you?

I had the same results as YoungDoc2B, but from his pics I can tell neither of us were really overweight when we started this program. I grew a new muscle after doing Insanity for about 4 months, the tibialis anterior muscle sticks out like crazy now. Before you decide to buy take a look in your local classifieds, I've seen…

The recommended sugar intake is based on _added_ sugars to foods. If you're eating all natural unprocessed foods then you really don't need to worry about it much, especially cause these foods haven't been stripped of their fiber. You won't be able to figure out added sugars vs natural sugars with MFP.

I use 2 knives when preparing veges: a chef's knife and a paring knife. Watch some videos on YouTube on how to cut like a chef, DON'T get overwhelmed at their speed. Pay attention to the technique: how they hold the blade, how their wrist flows, how to use your other hand as a guide, and how to NOT cut your fingers and…

Also keep in mind that fresh foods contain significant amounts of water. Majority of weight in fruits and veges is water
