  • I see. Yes, I understand. I would hate to be a woman trying to lose weight. Men have some extraordinary advantages in this regard due to higher muscle mass which increases our base metabolic rate. On top of that... fasting is unhealthy for women, but healthy for men.... :-/ I admire you for attempting this even though…
  • hey, adding you - good luck with your weight loss efforts! I'm also on a strict diet and working hard to maintain it. As for falling off the bandwagon... no need to worry about it if it only happens once a week. In fact, cheat days help you lose fat quicker, as it resets your metabolism, keeping you away from any so-called…

  • hey rob, good luck, I used to be introverted too, i still am for the most part. our weight loss goals seem to be a bit different, but hey, good luck to the both of us, adding you!
  • I know how you feel. When you say weight loss goal 95-100 lbs, you mean you want to BE 95-100 or you want to LOSE 95-100? I'm 220 lbs atm, I want to get to around 155 - 165 lbs, depending on how much muscle I happen to put on. Adding you
  • adding you :-) good luck on your quest I know how you feel, I let myself slip several times as well
  • yup, sugar takes all the blame for my weight loss issues too. i read a magazine article where it was actually depicted as having similar characteristics to drugs (regarding its effects on the brain) adding
  • "PS) LOLZ. If my boyfriend ever told me what to do, I'd rip his penis off and wear it around my neck like a trophy." Say what Lol....your man must be extremely feminine, my woman does what I say Oo
  • @bipolarpunkgr - what kind of whole foods do you eat? :-) @wgpjim - great balls of fire 5 days a week? not bad - my first diet will only have 2 days of working out per week since I still have not completely recovered from the first time 3 days ago. I am shooting for 3 days a week next week. @Weatherford10 - I don't like…
  • vitamin b12 can be found in yogurt, eggs, fish, and other foods that not so strict vegetarians would eat, if you've been a strict vegan this way for 18 years without any symptoms, then you're a lucky man! you manufacture the vitamin all by yourself in your stomach!!
  • if you must go vegan, at least drink beer (alcohol-free if you're not a fan of alcohol) it's the only non-animal product I know that has vitamin b12..... b12 deficiency is deadly...some people can be vegans...because they can produce that vitamin independently in their stomachs... not everyone can though... I was born in…
  • @taso yes, there is a long-term plan for after the 25 week one - the exercise days are to stay the same, and I'll keep 1 fasting day, and replace the other two with a generally healthy and a low carb day.
  • hi taso and hendrix, thanks for the input. part of the reason for the fasting is for health reasons and cleansing (my previous diet style was 50% junk food - you might even go so far as to call it a junk food addiction) I'm hoping the fasting can cure me of it. Yes, it's mentally a bit daunting to fast, but my body doesn't…
  • oh wow, this forum is more active than I expected, thanks for the replies! @faithyin: yes it is a lot of fasting! I've done 10 days before, so I am not too worried about 3 days. and it's actually not a complete 3 days, but rather 2 days and 3/4, I'm adding a low carb meal (salmon+raw veggies) on the evening of the 3rd day.…
