Congrats! I ran my 5k this past Saturday. I did mine in 35:22 and like you I want to get under 30 minutes. I am going to keep training and run another soon.

I have family in the Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia area. Everyone says Hun! I can be anywhere in the world and if I hear an American accent and the words Hun, I automatically assume the person is from that neck of the woods. It doesn't bother me.

1. Take care of your feet. Get fitted for shoes and wear good socks! 2. Couch to 5K training eased me into running. 3. Don't worry about others. They are not watching you! 4. The treadmill was easier on my knees but school tracks are good places to run as well.

My husband and I were talking about this last night. I did a little reading online and most points of view suggest doing weights/resistance training before cardio. Tomorrow I am going to switch my order and see if I notice any difference in the next few weeks.

I use my air popper. I use a popping corn that is 120 calories for 3 tablespoons. I get about 4 cups of popped corn from that. I use a little olive oil mist and a little salt. Great source of fiber and I find it to be a filling snack.
