I second astrose00! Find your local bike shop and take your time getting properly fitted for a bike. I have enjoyed my TREK 7.2 for a few years.

Smoke and heavy perfumes/body sprays really make it hard for me to breathe. I have gotten off a treadmill and moved to another one to keep from getting sick to my stomach.

My weight goes up for that week, 1-5 pounds and then I immediately drop that plus what I would have lost for the week. I skip the weigh in that week because I know it is going to be off. It seems to be different for every woman.

Congrats! It felt so good to complete the c25k program. I am running my second 5k next weekend.

I thought I was going to die but I completed the C25k program and ran my first 5k last July. I am running my second at Thanksgiving. I started the program at week 5 to prep for the Turkey trot and I am happy to say that the program is easier since I am in better shape. You got this!

I change up my exercise routine when my weight hits a plateau. I also found that I lose weight quicker when I do more cardio than weights. You are exercising and eating at a deficit. Could something else be going on?

I think the best thing you can do for kids is to get them moving! Enroll them in a group sport or take a class through your local rec center. I typically do 2 to 3 spin classes a week. The bikes we use do not track wattage. I use a heart rate monitor to track how hard I am working during my classes. I have been focusing on losing my last 40 while building strength and muscle. I started working with a trainer and hitting the weights. I have noticed a huge difference after just a few months. You can do this! Stay focused on your goals and ignore anyone who gets in the way.
