  • I would, just because you can maintain what you should be doing...logging...even if you go over or under, that doesn't matter. What matters firstly is getting healthy, secondly, staying in the habit of logging. It may help you to focus on what you could or should be eating while your are sick too. Eat lots of Vitamin C…

  • any of the Jillian Michaels dvds...my favorite is Shredding it With Weights and 6 Week 6 Pack.
  • it can be a good cardio workout, because your heart is pumping as it tries to stabilize your body temp with the sauna heat. I like to sit in it after a work out, because it makes my muscles feel nice and warm after working hard. Kind of like getting in a hot tub or taking a really warm bath. Think of how your heart feels…
  • I wouldn't...in actuality, it is just sweat/water. You didn't move any muscles doing it. You sat there and sweat. I have an infrared sauna in my home. I like it alot, but its not a work out. I really like it when I have a cold to sweat the toxins out.
  • just checking in...I'm still here! I just haven't found time to catch up lately... I have had a couple of nice weight loss days though! Will try to get back here later! Why is getting ready for vacation, which by the way is still 16 days away, such a project in and of itself?!
  • Feel free to look at my food diary...I seldom go over in sodium unless I eat out. I also try to get high potassium foods to fight against the sodium. Sodium is huge in your weight loss journey and in your health for that matter.
  • have it, done it, love it...and I was wiped out breathing after it. It is a very nice 20 minute workout. I also have the kettle bell workout "Shredding it With Weights" and love it too. In fact, I did the kettle bell work out first, and followed it with the 6 Week 6 Pack...that may be why I was breathing so hard...
  • I have "scheduled" Off workout days...the body needs to rest and recover. If my schedule gets mixed up for some reason, I adjust...If however, I feel really good and I know a light workout won't hurt, I may do an extra one...you really have to learn to "listen" to what your body is telling you. You don't want to cause…
  • too funny!! I stand in front of the mirror and look at my neck alot...no double chin anymore! I also look at the definition I am beginning to develop in my legs...so awesome!
  • thanks all for the warm welcome! Stiring, a duathlon is just running and biking in 3 segments. An example would be 1-3 mile run followed by a 15-35 mile bike, and again followed by another 1-3 mile run. I am not a swimmer of any kind, so that is totally out! I have never run a 5k or ridden in a road race either...but I'm…
  • Oh yeah, my name is Christine, and I am an MFP addict. Will be turning 41 this month(Jan 30)... I started MFP 10/31, & have lost 14 lbs!!! Yeah me!
  • Hello there! I stumbled across this just a bit ago...looks great! I would love to follow this thread!
  • I agree with Wendy...awesome post!!!
  • they are filled with around 3,573 mg of Omega 6! They are good for yuo actually! In other words..."good fat". Your body needs some fats to digest some vitamins. It really is okay. I just wouldn't eat the whole bag in one sitting. Make it a nice snack of say 14-23 kernals. They have some good Potassium too, around 200 mg,…
  • I have a Garmin 305...I am in the same boat for indoor activities...I find it is only "more accurate" when it can actually track your mileage by the satellite (outdoors). That is what Garmin GPS is all about... I just don't depend on it for calories or anything indoors
  • add it to lasagne or on pizza as a topper with Roma tomatoes. Add it to any sandwich. I love my salad with a hard boiled egg and shredded cheddar with lite honey mustard dressing. love my spinach!
  • Hi Kathie! You sound very similar to me! I have multiple dvds, bike trainer, treadmill, and an elliptical machine...I tend to also do the same routines over and over! I do however, plan on starting to train for a duathlon Feb 27, so I am really focusing on that then. For now, it is eye on vacation! I hope we can help each…
  • I guess, in my opinion, I would rather estimate low for calories burned than high...and, I always guess high on my food calories if there is a question about that too. It is difficult to be 100% on with everything...
  • I always have some favorite music on my iPod going in my ears, then I have either HGTV on. Kind of weird, but I can watch it while its muted...On the other hand, when my husband is on the treadmill or bike, he is either watching football, which we have had no shortage of lately, or the other day he was watching 300.…
  • I'll be 41 Jan 30...so, I am right there with you! I'll be on vacation that week, and shortly after (Feb 27), I am planning on starting training for a Du-athlon! Crazy!!
  • sounds like my whole last year! I am almost 41...tubal ligation and D & C Oct 2009, Hydro-therm Ablation April 2010...so, in that, no real periods anymore, although recently I've had the typical spotting. Anyway, really had the mopey/no motivation feeling for some time. I finally took control of my emotions, and decided…
  • Thanks everyone! I think my husband has a Polar... Anyway, I don't know yet, I have been looking a little on line at the BodyBugg...
  • I have the 305, and I don't like the way it calculates calories burned for other activities...I just don't think it is accurate anyway. I used it last night on my bike trainer, so of course I didn't need the GPS feature, and because I don't have the cadence hooked up, it just isn't getting an accurate reading... the…
  • I went from 36C to 34B...I miss my girls!
  • I'm planning a Du-athlon in summer/ fall 2011...I have not chosen which one yet. That said, I am always looking for other runners/athletes to friend!
  • pick it up, take it off of your desk, and place it away from you...out of arms reach. Let it be known you are sharing with everyone! Give it away, take it to the break room, whatever. But I would not keep it on your desk. If you must, keep one of each, and be done with it. You can do this!
