Will have to say Oprah because I'm English and have no idea who Gail is. What's the most amount of money you've spent on a holiday?

I'm hoping I've figured out the QUOTE or this won't make sense. Thanks for all great replies and suggestions. Like this poster I find it hard to drink in moderation, so cutting it out for good could be my best bet. I get that it's harder to recover from when you get older, but if you've developed a tolerance, like me, you…

Hi. I read 'Eat Right for Your Blood Type' some years ago. As someone else mentioned here, Type O are said to be the first 'official' humans - hunter-gatherers, and Type A came out of the farming communities that came later, who lived in settled groups and grew loads of crops. Type O are supposed to be more naturally…

Well done to you! Don't worry about other people. Maybe she's trying to lose weight herself and nothing's happening - or she's put on weight! It can be hard to be overjoyed for other people at times. Surround yourself with those you feel comfortable with and who will back you up.

If it's breakfast, I like to work out first. I've also heard that working out before breakfast speeds up weight loss, although can't remember the source and not sure if it's true. Don't always feel like eating as soon as I've woken up, so not eating until an hour or so later works for me.

Thanks for your great replies. Maybe Vodka is the ticket as it seems to get the thumbs up here. I'm clearly knocking it back more than a lot of you so maybe it should be just one large Vodka of an evening and several days abstinence in between. Can but try...

I recently did a Vegan Pledge run by Vegan Campaigns in London to take up a vegan diet for a month. As an omnivore for almost all my life I was really surprised how easy it was. I learnt to experiment with all kinds of different foods. It had a really good impact on my digestion. I would quite happily follow this diet for…

I saw it and found it really interesting. Like the easier option of 500 calories one day and then what you want the next. Today I've had about 30 calories and still not hungry. According to the programme, you don't binge on the second day. It's like your bodybrain gets the message that you only need so much.

Hi mate, I'm from Kent. You're right - this is a great site. Also like reading the posts cos the language suggests most people are from America. Nothing wrong with that, but they write in such a different way to the Brits. I love it! Looking to lose 2 stone.

If you can carry the cost, I would have 2 pairs of scales so you can compare. I've got Salter Digital which work well. I also weigh every day, but don't think I'm obsessed. My weight can go up or down as much as 3lb in one day. I weigh every day because some days I pig out and it helps me have a good day the next…

Hi bkvamp I recently signed up to a Vegan Pledge for a month and went on an introductory day in London where a bunch of Vegans from Vegan Campaigns had put on some really lovely free food, cookery demonstrations and talks. They also measured cholesterol and blood pressure as a vegan doctor was there to monitor the changes…
