Do consider the sleeve - i know the appeal of Lab Band is that it is not a permanent change - and i know the sleeve is - but there is too many bad stories out there for the Lap Band. Shirley's story is not uncommon. I hear it a lot!

This is my "walk a mile" speech - for many of US that are OBESE for a lot of our live it is a continuous struggle - a lot of times with our own heads - if you have just 30 lbs to lose - great for you! BUT if you have never faced having to lose 100+ pounds - please don't parrot the "its easy" or "quick fix" - you do not…

Not sure i buy this lock, stock and barrell - if "keeping the weight off" is defined at being the weight they were at the finale, then yes - maybe only SIX people were able to maintain that weight (Helen was 117 lbs @ age 57 for crying out loud) - keep in mind the weights @ the finale are artificially low as they are…

IMHO - No - starving yourself leads to more binging and being obsessed with food (of course you are - you are really hungry!)- concentrate on allowing yourself adequate amounts of healthy food to "crowd out" the bad stuff - you have to try to normalize your relationship with food! Not be completely hot or cold. I speak…

OP - MFP does not have a lot of folks that support the surgeries - much less know much about them - - sorry! Try Obesityhelp.com. Please only take advice from folks that have had YOUR SURGERY - this is different from LapBand, DDS, RnY..... I will also share this - when you ask VSG patients if they miss their old stomach -…
