to the OP's point, people point to being "big boned" in a lot of instances as an excuse to carry extra weight and say it is OK. In my case i am small/medium boned (wide hips but small wrists) - no excuse - my joke is that I am really supposed to be thin and willowy :-p

loving the post as it rings so true! I have one of the bariatric surgeries and it is so easy to "out eat" your surgery doing this very thing...snacking throughout the day on calorie dense foods and liquid (as i drink a short whole milk latte!! ;-)) - i also find drinking alcohol to be incompatible with weight loss and…

I started @ 366 lbs at a Gym and all people ever said were encouraging words as they noticed me shrinking. People (even the muscle heads) would walk up and say..."Great Job!" "Look at you!" 4 years out I can eat anything and I am grateful. What this does require is a greater sense of vigilance in your choices. I am forced to use my brain instead of my body making the choices for me. I still have issues with water though - i still prefer some flavoring to plain - it is not to the point it makes me outright…

it is really hard! my best advice is to walk and drink. It sort of jiggles the liquid thru your tiny tummy!
