A batch of lazy style potato gnocchi I made today (rough and ready but will taste almost as good if I was more fussy with the look) . Mostly for the freezer for easy meals later on.

I've read things good things lately about keeping your eggshells to add to your stock/broth so from today adding them into my container of assorted bones and veggie scraps. We get 4 weeks off a year here. Do go to Pompeii it's great, take lots of water and comfy shoes and the main feature is right at the back of it all where you can see the remains of those that died. Very sad.

I've not been to North America so have no idea all I know it's like a little bit of Switzerland looks wise with gorgeous lakes, mountains and friendly people. Guess someone that has been to both can compare better than you or I.

I have a serious travel bug and caught it on my first overseas trip at 17yrs old and not stopped since. First place was New Zealand, who can't fall in love with the beauty of that place? :) Then Fiji, Vanuatu both in the south Pacific then Bali. Greek islands and mainland interior for a 5 week long honey moon and Singapore…

I freeze a lot of things so they don't go bad faster than I can use them. Washed whole fresh young ginger (thin shinny skinned) is put in a zip lock bag and frozen then grated straight into meals skin on then straight back in there so it never defrosts. I buy whole bunches of celery because it works out cheaper here than…

Strange you brought this up today. I've been cooking lunch from 7am till 11.30am this morning! Made potato and cheese pierogi from scratch and about to boil them now then throw them in the caramelised onion/bacon mixture. Just like mum and nanna made but I think this recipe might beat theirs or at least seems to so far.…

The skin on a choyote, known as choko in Australia can be tough if it's not a nice young one so then I would peel it. The one in the photo doesn't look very young. They grow like a weed over here. In the depression they were very common apparently.

The Swiss alps, New Zealand's south island, Santorini Greece, Lake Como, Venice and Amalfi Coast Italy, the markets in Paris are mind blowingly beautiful too. Never seen such perfect produce ever. Some of Bali is pretty breathtaking.

When I was about 14 or 15 I saw a medium. She told me straight away my dead grandmother is standing behind me taking care of me. No way on earth she knew I had a dead grandmother. Might sound odd but I 100% believe my dog is her reincarnated to show me more love. I feel blessed.

Meringue made with just about any nut tastes amazing. I like the espresso in this though.

I was just thinking something along the same lines as going with powdered coconut milk but in that case buy sliced dried shiitake mushrooms and blitz to a powder or fairly fine at least. I always have some of the powder handy for when I don't want to use a whole can. Maybe you could add an egg you whisk in at the end kind…

I don't think I'll ever buy one again. I was on it every day and couldn't stop. Now we got flooded I think I'll just go with my skirt size getting tighter or not.
