Anybody want to join me in doing this again this week? Slacked off yesterday and today, want to push myself a bit more tomorrow!
-
Haha! That is too funny. @Jourdan_Rystron - "Facebook For Weight Loss" that is an excellent slogan, so true! MFP should market it like that. I have used many different calorie counters/trackers, iPhone apps, websites, etc. I thin 2 things make MFP so great. One, I love the database and it's "wiki" style. It still amazes me…

I have been SO curious to try these. I am soaking beans now, will try to make these tomorrow!

I am starting this tomorrow. Would love some other people to do it with me? I have always struggled with push ups, even as a kid. This program looks like it could be very beneficial.

Great suggestions and advice. I think adding some protein to my breakfast is necessary now. Oatmeal does such a good job filling me up, adding protein will probably fill me up even more. Regarding eating fish, I eat plenty of it already. I eat Tilapia all the time, just switch to tuna every now and again for variety. I…

Very interesting!

This sounds SO good. I am always looking for new bean recipes or ways to eat them!

After doing some research, it seems to be a fairly common problem with this model. I will just log what I was using before, kind of disappointed about it though. At least I will be able to train smarter, but will have to figure out a way to calculate calories burned.
-
Wow, well that does make me feel better. So I should just trust what it says? Maybe I will log 75% of it just to be safe. It was only 30 minutes, I think it's off too.

This is sounds delicous

This sounds so good! I am making a big batch of it right now, it's a little high in sodium for me though. Going to try to water it down some to get more servings.
-
Yeah mine does that too. My problem is that I just didn't program it before this workout, so I was wondering if I had any alternatives. It's okay though, I will just do it correctly tomorrow.
-
YES! Most tasty mustard ever :)
-
Wow, the response from MFP forums is just unbelievable. I am very thankful to find this place. Thanks for all of the suggestions, my sodium intake is always over, or at least close! I am setting my goal this week to be under every single day of the week. It's going to be hard, but I will make it happen. Thanks All!

Yeah, it is the same scale. I am really trying to not let it affect me, but I do admit that it's a tad bit frustrating. I know I am doing the right thing though, I have been eating far less than I use to and much healthier! I am also exercising more regularly than ever. I am really ust wondering if I am doing something…

Well that was definitely a Super Saturday! Great job to all that completed the goal. Since I am relatively new to working out, my Super Saturday has turned into Super Sore Sunday :) It's okay though, not the worst I have felt. I love the feeling of tired muscles.
-
Thank you for the suggestions. We do have a leg press and leg extension machine. I have heard these were bad exercises though, bad for the knees. I have been hesitant.
-
Nice work! Hope Santa said you were nice :) Update: Name: Adam Water: 128/96 Calories Burned: 703/750 So close, yet so far. It's okay though, most calories I have burned in one day thus far so I will take it!

I love this thread, and I figured it was time to say something. I love to drink just like most of us, but understand it's effects on the diet. My solution: exercise the calories of the beer or liquor :) Just wanted to say hi. Enjoying my 2nd Abita right now...Happy Saturday!
-
Well, hopefully you met the goal! :) I decided to do 20 minutes more of cardio, picked a Netflix one that seemed hard enough. It really was, could only do 20 minutes before my body had enough! Didn't quite meet the goal, 703 for now. I am happy with that. I would really like to thank you though, because of your comment…
-
Haha, unfortunately you MAY get there first. We'll see, I am trying to get the motivation to so SOME sort of cardio...but jump roping today kicked my butt! Good Luck

Update Name: Adam Water: 64/96 Calories Burned: 546/750 Pushed it harder at the gym than I have since i started, haven't hit 750 mark though. I am going to find SOMETHING to finish off that goal. Congrats on everybody so far!

I am totally in. This is a great one day challenge, perfect timing for me. I felt like I was going to need something to push me hard today. Had a bit of a "cheat" day yesterday, trip to the movies always does it! Let's get moving today :) Name: Adam Water: 8/96oz Calories Burned: ?/750

Congrats! I am just over 30 days quit as well, it feels GREAT!

I completely agree with this statement, I have found that the absolute best way for me to avoid terrible snacking is to just not have it around. I don't buy big bags of chips, if I want some, I go out and buy a individual snack sized bag, same thing with candy. This has helped me tremendously.
-
We all have bad days, no doubt about it. I can definitely sympathize with you that it does get a bit old having to worry about calories a lot. This is why I am an advocate for cheats meals. If I allow myself one meal a week where I can get something I really want, but is high in calories it accomplished two things. One, it…

Vodka and Club Soda is all I drink. For variety I get either lime or lemon, get it with a flavored vodka like stoli blueberry. It works for me, and for 2 1 oz shots I think it comes to around 150 calories. Not bad and can still get a buzz :)
-
These are all great suggestions. Eggs, Tuna, Chicken, all packed with protein and not a ton of calories. I also recommend oatmeal, keeps me full for hours. Side note - To the poster who ate tuna right out of the pouch, that is something I have always been curious. Was it really not bad? I usually mix it with mustard or a…

I agree! This is my first group too and it will be a great motivator I think. Having to hold myself accountable to somebody besides myself is great. Yesterday was good, it was a rest day so no exercise. Good news was that I felt like I ate everything I wanted, and was still within my daily goal. I love when that happens,…
