Thank you all, I've learned new things from you today :)

I bought one of each of all their different meals haha, macaroni &cheese, and Thai green curry (quite spicy), and korma are all very nice, great flavours, and the texture was better than I expected!

I've been skipping breakfasts for a couple of years now, mostly because I wasn't hungry in the mornings, cso eating a first meal at 9am is novel! Saying that, since starting insanity I seem to get hungry sooner, so so far it's working for me... Do you know of a proven way that keeps metabolism working optimally?

2 days water fast - recommended by many physicians and scientists to let your body clean itself. After 2 days (chill out, take some walks) you'll deplete the glycogen and be back on the wagon (assuming you're fat-adapted. If not there'll be a few days of keto-flu probably)

And me! Switched to raw vegan 4 days ago, it feels amazing - looking for more experienced vegans and raw-fooders for advice and continuing motivation!

iBCAA is a good supplement to take during workout (at least it's recommended by a few famous physique athletes) and that's pure protein and 0 carbs... That's 20g of protein for you in your gym water bottle, refreshing too...

I'm about to start Max30 today - anyone else starting it, or doing it now? Add me for motivation etc :)

I'm co down too! add me if you're a motivated active MFP member X

I haven't specifically tried carb cycling, but have been on high protein diet (same-ish macros as yours) with 1 cheat day a week, which I guess is the same thing... Kept losing fat! Are you following some specific carb-cycling diet? what is it, if you don't mind me asking?

Just had a tin of sardines in tomato sauce with steamed veggies... Tasty, filling and high in protein!

Wow, didn't realise you had quite that many obstacles! Bloody well done girl! That's an incredible commitment to get up every day, regardless of where you are, and stick with the plan. And the fitness level really shows! Wish I had your will power :)

I'd have to strongly disagree. You can have a small chocolate bar, or a generous bowl of steamed veggies and dahl - same amount of calories, but I bet I know which one will send you lurking in the cupboards 30min later! The type of food that you eat makes a massive difference. Don't deny yourself food and make yourself…

What Evgeni said.... In case you don't know - when you come off your diet of "starving yourself" your body will hold on to all the calories it can = fat gain. But build some muscle and you turn your body into a food burning machine, you eat normal portions and never feel hungry, and still lose fat. But you probably know…

Thanks Allan, good to know that there isn't necessarily a right and a wrong way of doing this.... Once I hit my goal I'll try the small snack thing and see how that affects workouts... But until then - the fastest way for me to burn those last pounds would be to continue workouts on the empty stomach and man up? :)

I'm 5ft4 and have gone down from 131 pounds to 116, and am working towards 112 - this would put me right at the bottom bit of the healthy BMI, and around 16% bodyfat. 5 months ago I used to have a poorly back due to office job and no core strength, but since January I've been doing Insanity program (currently on the second…

You just made my day  do you go raving often enough for it to be a part of your profile? That's just awesome!

My partner and I have a plan to go to bed at 10pm, but he comes home from work at 5.30 and by the time the home projects are done its always around 11 or later... Top tip- less projects and more chill time!

Got mine a month or so ago, it's great for running &steps, very accurate. But for HIIT workouts its not ideal -because of the irregular and impacting movement it keeps losing my heart rate so the calories for the exercise come out way lower. But at least that's better than higher! Someone I know goes swimming with his, and…

I'm 5ft5, currently weigh 117 pounds, and eat on average a week around 1200 for weight loss via 5:2 and cutting out crap food - having been on this diet for the last 4 months I have lost 17 pounds. I'm also doing Insanity (2nd round)... My target is to get down to 15% body fat which is only 4 pounds away, and then…

It's normal not to lose weight straight away - the workouts will make you build muscle, which is heavier than fat. It is better to measure progress by counting inches rather than pounds!
-
I'm doing it for the first time... 1 week left before the end!! It's great, I lost 10% of my body weight (which I'm sure was fat!). I'm not following their food plan, but just eating healthier and less. I'm going on holiday after the workout, but when I'm back I'm going to do it again, and be amazed at the results :) Feel…

I've just finished 2 weeks and lost an inch from my waist, really pleased! Would be great if there was a group for this workout here for motivation

Hi Sarah, good luck with your fasting? I find it quite hard to have such small meals, especially in the evening when I'm at home. But I saw it some magazine that one chap was starting his fast half way through the day, saying that it's easier because you actually sleep through most of it... Hence my question!
