4 or 5 days at camp when I was 14. To be completely fair, the showers were disgusting and I think I was cleaner at the end of the week for having NOT used them.

I'm holding out for the Jawbone Up 3. It looks like it's going to have some pretty good features.

Drink.

I've actually never been this small my entire adult life, so it's all new clothes for me! :)

Oooh, yes. My birthday. It's not til April, but I have a plan already. I'll be gorging myself immobile at the Chinese buffet. Totally worth it.

Seconding the suggestion to take it to work. I get rid of so much unwanted food that way!

Pole dancing, hands down, my favourite workout ever. When I'm not poling, I also really love Body Pump. I've done Body Combat a few times, and like it too. I did Spinning for the first time yesterday and really liked it, although it nearly killed me. Haha I'm a big fan of the Jillian Michaels workouts, too. It used to be…

Teeny, tiny umbrellas?

You can't really eat too little for weight loss. As long as you're eating fewer calories than you burn, you'll lose weight. But if you're only eating 730 calories a day (and I'm skeptical of that), it's highly unlikely that you're getting adequate nutrition. Food isn't just about calories - you need to actually be getting…

People respond the way they do because some of us, like me, have tried EVERYTHING. Including pills. Or, well, we thought we had. Turns out we hadn't tried eating at a calorie deficit. A lot of people on this forum, like me, have/are busting our butts because we've realised that the only way it's going to happen is by hard…

My workout clothes come mainly from Sports Direct, Primark, and Ebay.

McDonalds (and/or Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, etc) at least once a day, usually twice - Every. Single. Day. Haven't gone near any of it in 6 years.

I will become stronger than my strongest excuse

Personally, I set a goal to feel better, as well as be at a size I find aesthetically pleasing. I'm working on maintaining my current size 14.

Frozen banana slices kill ice cream cravings for me. You can blend them up and make an ice cream-ish dessert, but I find that a bit too much faffing about and prefer just eating the frozen banana. The slices have the same chewy texture as some ice cream bars. I love it. :)

Yep. Someone is going to get that deal on my sausage maker.

Eh, eat what you want.

Over the holidays, I generally don't worry about calories. I don't gorge out or anything, but I'm not that bothered. My strategy for handling parties and pot lucks and that type of thing is usually to just eat lighter the rest of the time so it balances out. Like, I might skip breakfast and have a really low calorie lunch…

I like my armband. I don't find it gets in the way at all for regular workouts and lifting. I've even used it while pole dancing, working on routines. I can go upside down, spin, headstands... The only real problem there is the cord from the earbuds, but I find if I tuck it into the armband a bit to shorten it, it really…

If you goal is 1200 net for the day, one 1500 calorie meal isn't going to derail anything, as long as you aren't doing it every day. Chances are, if you look at your calorie intake over the week, then spread that 1500 calories out, you'll still be averaging out at a caloric deficit (I can't math, so don't expect any more…

It seems the real benefit of green tea is the taste, so I'd recommend just drinking it. Other than that... I guess the difference might be how much money you waste?

I'm glad you found what works for you

I tend to drink them just after a workout, but I don't think it really matters.

You need to suck it up. Yes, it can be frustrating to not have the support of people around you, but ultimately, no one decides what, or how much food goes in your body except you. You need to forget the whole notion of diet sabotage. It sounds like your mom is a convenient excuse for the choices you are ultimately making.…

£37 a month for unlimited use, classes, and a pool. There are also trainers who will help you create a custom programme based on your goals. They also do an initial health screening, help you set goals based on this, and track your progress for you. All the trainers and desk staff are lovely as well. It's a Nuffield…

When you add the exercise, just click on the box where it gives you the calories burned and type in the actual number

I've lost nearly 200 lbs over the last 3 and a half years. I think there comes a point where it doesn't matter how slowly you lose, how much you lift, whatever, you're going to have it. It's really visible on me and it does bother me. You can see it in my profile pic - where it looks like my belly is hanging down? That's…

I can't really be bothered with the pictures, but I was a definite apple shape before and I'm on the pear side of hourglass now. My hips are 10 inches bigger than my waist. It's really interesting to me that my basic shape changed so much!

So. Full disclosure. I recently battled an awful, awful anal fissure. I basically at as much fibre as I could - All Bran Original (has something like 3 times the fibre of Weetabix), nuts, raspberries, beans, wholewheat pasta, brown rice, wholewheat seeded bread, porridge with added oat bran, and I drank Fybogel twice a…
