Hi there, I also have recently been diagnosed with IIH (day after Xmas '17). I've had all the symptoms for many years, but doctors never took it seriously until I started reporting pain with my eyes (which possibly isn't related). They also diagnosed me with ESS (empty scella syndrome). I take Diamox, and have been since…

What I have done since starting this thread, is I went in and edited my Diary. First, I made it public (I didn't know they were automatically private). I am not perfect, but I don't mind others seeing what I do, either. I joined this site for help and motivation! :) I also changed my diary around and put snacks in between…

I highly suggest the frozen yogurt (make it yourself)! It's so yummy. I also do not like yogurt when it is simply refrigerated. I am however thinking of using it to replace sour cream and mayo in some recipes. Like others say, Greek seems to be highly recommended for this. Good luck!

Sometimes it seems like certain times. I do try to satisfy whatever craving I have with exactly what it is I'm craving, as I know that if I want a bite of coconut cake and decide to eat an apple instead, I'll just eat an apple, a banana, a piece of chocolate, a cookie.. and still want a bite of coconut cake. Yesterday I…

My biggest confusion of TDEE is when you plug in your numbers, it's assuming every day you do the same thing.. but what about those days off where you take it easy? The current calorie limit I have is 15% under my calculated BMR (which comes to 2,120 for my size). If I was trying to do that, I wouldn't have even thought…

I would have to be burning almost 1,500-2,000 calories a day. I'm not currently able to burn that many in a day. That would take so much time to do, and with work and everything else I do on a daily basis, that just isn't happening right now. I find that more unrealistic than trying to sustain a meal plan. Also, from what…

I guess I feel they are inappropriate because they are mostly salty or sweet things, things with simple carbs. Things I've been told to avoid. I know you can moderate those things into a calorie-counting plan, such as have very small quantities. I tried doing this over the two weeks, and I did alright, but I caved-in the…

Are you even eating enough to metabolize? Do you know your BMR and TDEE? I have no idea how much you weigh based off your picture, but your starting diary entries looked like you were trying to starve yourself, and your routine hasn't improved much since. You really need to educate yourself about those two things and…

Ha, I thought this too... >_>

I really appreciate the help of clearing that up. :) Thanks~!

What great inspiration!! Your before pics look quite similar to my body shape, and even though 170lbs isn't my total goal, 150lbs is! I love seeing success when it's something I can relate too, it drives me to know I can do it too!! :))

Wow! All these helpful comments. Thank you EVERYONE! This makes me really happy I joined this community, as everyone seems so helpful. Reading over the comments, there's so much support and recommendations. I keep noticing the Leslie Sansone and C25K be mentioned, so I am definitely looking into them. Some have asked if I…

As the question was, are artificial sweeteners in X product as bad as X product, the answer is: Yes. Artificial sweeteners are unneeded chemicals you are voluntarily putting into your body. Most of these chemicals your body can't even absorb. So if you think about it in that light, the answer would be yes. As others have…
