I've got a facebook group for to help with accountability and motivation. I have been posting on MFP for 285 days straight and the…

  • Your results so far are great and you should be proud, not ashamed. Keep it up, it takes time but as long as you work at it you're going to suceed. The change in your face is outstanding.
  • Are you keeping an eye on your sodium intake? Or perhaps it's time to start eating more. Just make sure your ratios are good.

  • It is totally a mental game we play with ourselves. Sometimes when we hit plateaus we actually need to eat more to kick start the metabolism. I am constantly adjusting my calories.(what I call exercising my metabolism) It definitely has worked for me. If you need any help or motivation you can join a…

  • skinless grilled chicken breast is one of the best. I use ground turkey for all ground beef type meals, and also some pork is good. You can also look for high protein low carb/fat shakes and drinks. Whey protein shots are also available. I often use a MetRX prepakaged shake which is 51g protein and I believe about 2 fat…
  • The scale isn't always the answer but I know somewhat what you are going through as I often use it. Sometimes when you plateau it's because you are not getting enough calories and your body adjust. I have bump calories at three different times and actually lost weight the very next week. I now feel like I can't eat enough…
  • I've had great results with the Insanity program and you don't need to buy anything extra to do the entire 9 weeks. Our FB group is there to help with motivation and accountability if you are interested. Most of us are doing or have done Insanity.
  • Time to workout and build strength to handle those kids, you can also up your calories then and push your metabolism. I've started a FB group to help with motivation and support, just let me know if interested.
  • I'm at about 155lbs now and working back towards 150. I put on about 6lbs. the last two months doing Asylum 1 & 2. No gain in waist size though so it is doing what I wanted. Now I'm going to go back to Insanity and running workouts to try to cut the rest of my mid section. Would love to hit about 10-11% BF. Afterwards I…
  • Quite often your body will retain water when you first start an exercise program. This is normal. We've got a great group started on facebook to help with accountability on a daily basis. I give advice on both the fitness and weightloss topics. I gained 3lbs in my first 3-4 weeks of Insanity, then it droped. If you have…
  • I'm pretty much at my weight but looking to continue getting rid of the left over belly. We've got a great group started on facebook to help with accountability on a daily basis. If you have any interest just let me know. Most of us are doing Insanity or P90x workouts but anything you do is ok.

  • I've got a Facebook group started to help with weightloss and fitness if you or anyone is interested. Most of us are doing Insanity or P90x as a workout, but anything is excepted. It definitely helps with accountability. I know I don't want to be the one who post a reason why I skipped a workout so my goal is to stay on…
  • Have a protein shake. There's enough sweetness to satisfy that sugar craving + you needs some carbs in your post workout drink. The protein will help curb cravings for a bit and then make sure you top off with plenty of water.
  • My first question is, are you eating enough? I know it sounds odd, but with the workouts you really should make sure you get enough. If you are only eating 1200 calories a day and you body wants 1800-2000 then you are forcing your body to slow down metabolism. I learned by doing. At each plateau I hit I was able to up my…
  • Mandalynn, I have started a facebook group for fitness and have just finished Insanity Asylum Volume 2. Most of the people in my group are doing Insanity if you have any interest just let me know. I log everyday both here and there and I have done the standard Insanity program 2 full times as well as a hybrid so I've got…
  • I think you've got to just keep working. I still have some to get rid of but considering I was 40+ lbs overweight for many years I have excepted it will take a little time to get the skin to shrink back which is my biggest issue right now.
  • Waited until I was 48 and had high cholesterol and then decided I needed to avoid medication for the cholesterol and wanted to change and be in shape by 50.
  • Insanity is great for losing or maintaining and trimming bodyfat %. You make it what you want by eating well.
  • Always on here and willing to provide help. I've logged for over 220 days straight. When you see my pics you'll see I was much more out of shape than you. I am also 49 and still able to push it everyday. I'm thinking of starting an April challenge group for motivating people like yourself. see my new site at…
  • I'm on everyday if you need any help or motivation. I've logged here for over 220 days staright. Looking at possibly starting an April challenge group for anyone looking to get fit or closer to it by summer. see my new site at destinationfit4life.com
  • Absolutely not eating enough. You are ruining your metabolism. Start adding some calories. You might see a slight gain at first until you get yourself back to the right amount.
