Cardio is good, resistance training is good, however you must start in the kitchen. Doing nothing will get you nowhere.

Heart rate is directly related to caloric burn. You just have to watch it and work within your ranges.

Any help I can be let me know. Married happily for almost 26 years, 3 kids and little time, was 50 lbs overweight, but i've changed in the last 9 months and I'm sure I can help if you're mentally ready.
-
You've done amazing so far and having kept of the original lose speaks volumes for what you must have learned. If you're ready to dig deep, I'll willing to try to help you get past the plataeu. You just need some accountability.

If you are constantly under your caloric goal you will tend to lose some quickly but then it will turn on you. Try to eat to your goal even if not hungry at times. You need to boost your metabolism with diet and exercise.
-
If you are logging accuratel then it's definitely possible you are not eating enough. As others have said you would need to let us see your diary to know for sure.
-
It absolutely does. The only way to know how much for sure is to measure what you add to the pan and then measure what's left. Or use only enough that none is left in the pan.

Let me know if you need someone to send reminders when you haven't logged for a few days. I just hit 200 days straight this week so you know i'm always on. I try not to comment on whining, but do give positive feedback for hard work.

MFPs default macros are i think 55carbs/30fat/15protein, You really should modify it if you are working out. I shoot for 40c/20f/40p. Plus the carbs need to be more complex, stay away from alot of sugar. I use red yeast rice, omega 3s, and workout 6 days a week. When I started Insanity workouts last June I was at 207…

You are definitely doing the right thing. People can lose weight rapidly on the low calorie diets but it is temporary. If you continue for long periods of time your body adjust it's metabolism. If you want to lose weight long term and keep it off you have to boost your metabolism by slowly adding calories as you begin to…

Even at 1600 a day your probably on the low side of your food intake. Are you adding calories for exercise and what are you eating? Are you drinking plenty of water?

Love the pug!

Well put. I am always trying post some positive notes for people. Sometimes it only takes a little encouragement to get them past that next hurdle.
-
Mark, I'm always willing to help others. I'm a father of three and married for almost 26 years. I have been logging on MFP for 6 months without missing a day.
-
I tried a fitbit and took it back 2 days later. As another posted here, it is a glorified pedometer. Not worth it. A HRM will help you calculate your exercise calories which is a much better tool. People who use the pedometer to calculate there walking throughout the day tend to use it as an excuse not to do a real…

Are you drinking enough water, getting enough protein or complex carbs? The simple carbs only bring on more hunger in a short time. Water could fill you up enough to skip one of those snacks. Also eat back your excercise calories.
-
First question is why are you on a 1000-1200 limit at this point? Anyone can lose weight short term by reducing calories but at some point you own body adjust to it and then you're stuck. You have to gradually minipulate you metabolism by exercising and actually eating more. I've proven to myself the method works. Each…

Let me know if I can help. Just send a request. I have been logging diet and workouts on MFP for 180+ days straight and had logged using Lose It app for a year before that. I have learned alot in the past 18 months and willing to give any advice I can. I've dealt with several plateaus and learned how to tweak my calories…

Nice job so far. Max Plyo is my favorite Insanity workout. After I got through a couple times I started counting total pushups. You will be shock what you accomplish in a 55 minute workout. Keep up the hard work. You won't be sorry.

Water, protein, exercise. Balanced diet is best. I have been eating well and exercising 6-7 days a week for 8 months straight. Losing quickly can work for some but most don't commit to a long term plan and therefore tend to gain back some if not all. My diet is good but I always allow for some various goodies so I can…

You obviously know you can lean on the Lord for strength. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me. If you need someone to bounce thoughts, ideas, question off of I surely am willing to help. As long as you are mentally prepared for a lifelong journey to serve the Lord and take care of the body…

Gunsentry is right on with his reply. Gotta eat right to cut the fat layer.
-
Definitely add in the resistance in place of extra cardio. I did a hybrid of P90x and Insanity after first round of Insanity. You won't be sorry.
-
Get a Heart rate monitor you can wear and set it up for yourself. Don't trust any of the machines or the MFP estimates.
-
RIght after your workout. Log your calories and feed your body to make up for it. Your metabolism will increase and you will succeed.
-
You have to get up and do it. Once you get 10-15 miutes into the excercise you'll be happy you did. The first couple weeks are hard to get out of bed but then you'll be wanting it. I started by picking a workout program "Insanity" and committed to making everyday without excuses. If you have a set program to follow a…

This first 5 minutes or about 1/2 to 3/4 mile seems like it's going to do you in every time. You can push through it. Set a goal of at least 1 mile for sarters and work your way up. When you hit the 1/2 mile mark you'll mentally know your halfway there and on the down side. Heck, you might even go further once you hit the…

My favorite month. Max Plyo beats anything else for a workout. Gotta love it.
-
You can add me if you want any help or push. I've loggod on MFP 175+ days straight.

Good news! You're starting off early enough to hit your goal in November. Alot of people expect to lose tons of weight in a very short time. While it can be done it usually takes a longer period and when you work at it for long periods you are much more able to keep it off. I've been through a Insanity 2x, a P90x/Insanity…
