Haha, I have sprint cyclists legs. Years of bushing 18st around on a bike. No problem there!!! But I'm aware it's something I need to monitor in the future!

yes you're wrong. a calorie deficit is better flat out for weight loss Yes I understand that in simple terms. My point I suppose was that doesn't cardio aid building a calorie deficit quicker than weight lifting? Aka "x" amount of calories per minute. Obviously I appreciate there a many variants in this. I'm talking very…

Again, great reply. My current fitness, I run 10kms, can road ride for 4-5hrs covering 70 ish miles, play soccer for hour. So my base fitness is ok. My core strength is my weakness. I can run a sub 50min 10km, but struggle to do more than 5 push ups. Nightmare! Obviously like everyone there are weight exercises I prefer…

Lost a few inches from the top of your head too! Well done mate.

Ooooh nice one. I'll try them! Can't think what that would taste like with the tinned condensed milk. Only one way to find out! :)

Thanks Justine. Great reply. So I suppose the next question I'd have then is how intensely you do the weight work? Does this come back to the old question of "body image" that you're after? So small reps/big weight for large muscle or bigger reps/lighter weight for tone. As someone who like to do a lots of sport,…

As mentioned above, maybe you're eating too early? Personally I eat like the following... Breakfast around 0930. I'm never hungry when I first wake up. Lunch around 1230-1300 Mid afternoon snack around 1530-1600. Dinner around 1900. That way, I never really go more than 4 hours tops without eating. That doesn't allow…

Thats amazing. Well done! :)

Hi I'd suggest the recipe I've just added to this forum. Obviously remove any nuts from the recipe. Takes about 10 minutes to prep and will give you snacks that last a week! :-)

Yep! With tongues! :p

I think as suggested above, you need to be hitting your calorie target and personally when I eat makes a big difference. I'm never hungry when I wake, so I always leave it a couple hours until I have breakfast. Usually about 0930. I then have lunch approx. 1230-1300. Afternoon bite about 1500-1600 then dinner around 1930.…

Great! Thanks for your very detailed and concise comments. For now, I'm aiming to stick with the MFP figures, ensure I'm hitting it or as close as and see how that goes. I've only been at this 2 weeks seriously but already dropped almost 7lb which I fully accept is too much. I'm not one of these people who thinks the more…

Like to think I'd weigh myself weekly and keep a conscious awareness of what I'm eating and try and maintain a sense of being in the right ball park. If you fluctuate more than 2-3lb either way, then log for a couple weeks and see what you're doing.

RAHHHHHH

Cheers for the feedback and detailed explanation guys. Seems I really do need to be hitting my daily targets as a minimum. Whilst I do exercise 5 times a week at an average of 45 minutes per session and at medium to high intensity (soccer, spinning, medium distance runs), my daily job is desk based, so i'm really sedentary…

You mean you think the Calories is too high? I suppose as I'm 6ft 5 and 18st 5 currently, it will be higher than If I was 5ft 10...
-
I'm cool with that! :)
-
I'm already experiencing this. My target weight is 15 stone. Even at 6ft 5, that's not small. That's the top end of my supposed "healthy range". People are already saying "you don't need to lose 3 stone, you're a big guy, you should be carrying that etc etc". Now I know they mean it in a kind way and I don't look heavily…

I'm walking like I lost my donkey because of the number of squats I did at Metafit on Wednesday. If that's cool, then yes, it's cool!
