I have a bob also, but layered and wavy. I really like Sweaty Bands, they stay in place for me. Lately I've been using the plastic zig-zag type of headband where the ends clip together. They don't move at all.

I'm also running a half in October (and one in September). What training plan are you using? I used Galloway for my first one and then various Hal Higdon ones after that. This time I'm using a plan from Runner's World. Half marathons can be addictive - I've run 4 and a 25k since last October!

Everyone is a little different, but if I'm running 6 miles or less I won't eat before an early morning run. Just a few sips of water and I'm out the door.

@shanaber - I do use a foam roller and it helps, for a while. I'm getting a massage tomorrow, hopefully that gets rid of the knots in my hip!

How long have you been using Advair and are your symptoms controlled except while running? My suggestion is to not push too much with running until you have a preventative regime established that controls your asthma on a day-to-day basis. When you feel ready, increase your distance/pace slowly and see how you feel.…

Nice 5 miles last night - very happy with my splits (10:40, 10:37, 10:25, 10:13 & 9:43). The last mile was my fastest ever!!!
