Any upcoming races?
Does anyone have any races in the near future? I'm running the IceCube 10K in Mt. Pleasant, MI on Saturday. Based on my recent training runs I have a shot at a new PB for the 10k, if the weather & roads are good (and I'm not hung over like the last time). My fastest 10k was in 2008, so I'm pretty excited about it!

First 8k!
Yesterday I ran my first 8k race!!! I'm slow (1:03:37), but it was a bit faster than my pace during my training runs. I feel pretty good today, just a bit stiff and one knee is a little achy, but I'm sure it will be fine in a day or two. I have already started looking for a 10k (or 2) this fall!

First fitness goal ACHEIVED!!!
My first fitness goal (and New Year's resolution) was to run an entire 5k, which I have not been able to do in 3-4 years. On Saturday morning I made a last minute decision to run a local 5k. NSV!!!
I have been working with a trainer for 5 weeks now. I have never been able to do a full pushup. By week 3, I was able to struggle through 2. Last night - 3 sets of 10!!!
