I think it really depends on the person. One person may do better on a snack of carbs, like popcorn, and someone else may do better on a snack of nuts, and someone else might do better with a protein bar. It's a very individual thing, and unfortunately the best way to learn what works for you is by trial and error.

My great-great grandmother was 100% Cherokee. And somewhere down the line I've been told I have some Blackfoot heritage.

Ok, so what makes it junk food? Let's say they tax because of sugar content. Well, where does it stop? Do you want them taxing your juice? Or your fruit? Because, well, sugar. Ok, tax because of fat content? So that can then lead to peanut butter being taxed. Almond butter. Avocado. Nuts in general. Who makes the decisions?

My boyfriend and I moved into a new house in March. It has an old rope swing with a plank for a seat on the tree that I have been after my boyfriend to get rid of because I am slightly OCD and the swing hangs crookedly and it drives me crazy. Well, the other day I was watching my hummingbird feeder and saw this rather…

I tried keto because I read how great it was for people with PCOS. Unfortunately, it did not help me at all. Granted, it might have been because I don't have much to lose, or that I have a history of eating disorders (so my hormones are all kind of wacky anyway), but I just couldn't stay with it. I also couldn't get past…

I hate the excess skin I have, especially my arms, and my knees look like a Shar-Pei's. But what I hate even more is the idea of laying in bed to recover for months at a time (if you have your legs done), or not being able to move my arms for weeks, etc. I couldn't stand the idea of taking that much time off from working…

I had major issues with binge eating when I got to my lowest weight (around 100 from 310). I learned several things, I usually had issues when I was short on sleep, working out too much, not eating enough fat, or not eating enough in general. So the worst thing you can do is try to "make up" for a binge. All you will do is…

I love medjool dates stuffed with peanut butter and frozen. It makes it take longer to eat and the dates get chewier.
-
Just an FYI, when I was having MAJOR binge issues, there were two reasons. 1) I was working out too much, and 2). I wasn't eating enough fat (so what I binged on was ALWAYS a combo of fat and carbs).

I read that a lot of people have lost weight on Wellbutrin. Unfortunately for me, that is not the case. :(
-
I've tried many antidepressants, especially in the past year (part of why I've gained some weight back). So far, the best combination I've found is Cymbalta and Wellbutrin. It covers seratonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine. Zoloft didn't do anything for me. Effexor caused nightsweats, nightmares, and muscle weakness, no…

LOL Then consider yourself shrubbery-less (and I'm glad I'm typing that, because I'm not sure I could say it correctly).
-
But would you then ask for another shrubbery, slightly short, to give a step effect?

Awwwww! Not fair! :( Probably better for my waistline, though! LOL
-
OMG, where are you from? LOL I could SOOO down one of those!

I LOVE the shaved bald head! Major sexy!!

You're a genius!!!!! Halo Top is 240/pint, and it's not too bad. I've only tried the vanilla and the chocolate. Pleasantly surprised. Whatever you do, DON'T get Artic Zero. *shudders*

It's definitely not as good as real peanut butter, and I won't eat it straight, but in things like banana ice cream or smoothies, where the peanut butter flavor isn't extremely strong anyway, it's not too bad.

I will admit my first exposure to this was at the theatre (not the movie theater), and I LOVED it.

I LOVE mine. The Charge HR was horrible for my heart rate because I tend to do high intensity exercise a lot. The Blaze is so much better. I don't know if the larger face makes the difference (blocks out more external light) or if they improved some algorythms. Either way, I am a happy camper right now. The only thing I've…

I have all the games and really enjoy them, but I also do Zumba videos from YouTube. I download them and put them into iTunes and just tell them to shuffle. Then I just stop when I hit the time I want.

As it becomes less accurate, do you think overestimating calories burned or underestimating is the result of the inaccuracy?
-
You will have to pry my peanut butter out of my cold, dead hands. >:)

I really really really dislike Artic Zero. SO bad. But that being said, the cookie dough flavor was probably the "best" I tried.

For me, I think it's a mental thing from my history of an eating disorder and over-restriction. It is like it makes my body fight me whenever I try to get everything in line.

In that case, why not try with a higher goal for awhile and just see how you do. If you gain, you know you need to lower it, if you lose, then there is no real need to lower it further if you are happy with the rate you are losing and the amount you are eating. I am the same way and have this mental block if I try to go…

There's no rule that says you HAVE to eat below 1500 calories. What weight loss goal are you trying to use in your initial set up? If it's 2lbs per week, that might be too much a deficit for you.

The biggest, hardest decision I ever had to make was giving my child up for adoption.

I loved my MS band, but I just hated having to charge it every day (I rarely remembered :( ), and I didn't like that it wasn't waterproof. Or at least be able to wear it in the shower.

Same here! Especially after asking my boss for a raise and point out ALL that I do. I can just imagine him walking by my desk when I've got my coloring book and crayons out. LMAO
