Anyone have experience with PMDD??
Ok, after being gone for awhile, I'm back and really need to get back on track. This past year I have started being so exhausted that I can barely get out of bed and go to work, much less work out maintain discipline around food (although I have generally kept at least four days of exercise including cardio, strength, and…

Educated Opinions Wanted: BionicGym
I love looking at new Kickstarter campaigns, and today I received an email from Indigogo with various campaigns included, and the one for Bionic Gym caught my eye. I'd love to hear some educated opinions on whether this is a bunch of BS, or actually feasible. I thought debate might be the best location for this topic, but…

Colonoscopy - Ugh!!!
Ok, so I am having a colonoscopy and endoscopy in a few weeks. Considering I am 33, I was really hoping to not have to worry about this for, oh, another 20-30 years. *sigh* Coming from an eating disordered background, the idea of going almost two days with nothing to eat is already causing me issues. For those of you that…

HFLC without Keto?
I've been trying to do HFLC, mostly because high fat tends to keep my cravings and binge urges in check (I have a history of eating disorders) and because I have PCOS so I think it helps keep my hormones level. However, due to my love of fruit, I don't think I could do full on keto, as well as my love of high intensity…

Low Carb Jerky Recommendations?
I've checked in my local stores for some jerky (I'm trying to find some low carb snacks other than almonds, cheese, and pepperoni), and it seems like everything has sugar or more carbs than I would prefer. Does anyone have any brands/flavors they would recommend that I could order online? Or suggestions of other snacks?

Cold Bulletproof Coffee??
Ok, I'm not really a fan of hot drinks, coffee especially. So I was going to try making a cold version. Which is helpful because I can make it the night before in a shaker cup to take to work with me because I don't have time in the mornings to do anything past my workout (Have to be at work by 7 at the latest). So I was…

Toasted Coconut Chips
I have a severe addiction to toasted coconut chips, but after checking the nutrition panel, I saw that the brand I had been buying generally had around 14g of sugar, so I decided to try to make my own. I'm so excited!! They actually turned out really good. I started with a basic sweet and salty version, then made a version…

Low Carb Bread Items
I don't know if these have been mentioned before, but I love the products from the Great Low Carb Bread Company: http://www.greatlowcarb.com/ I've tried the bagels and the sliced bread, and they are pretty good. I recently ordered the granola, but haven't received it yet.

Scosche Rhythm + Question
I'm interested in trying the Scosche Rhythm + because I have issues with chest straps disconnecting and just being a pain in general. However, the cardio I do tends to involve a lot of upper body, such as kickboxing, zumba, other dance, etc. So I'm wondering if the upper body movement would throw readings off. Does anyone…

Morning Exercise Heart Rate Lower?
This is more of a curiosity thing for me. I got my new Garmin Heart Rate Monitor last night, so, of course, the first thing I did was try it out in my evening workout. I also used it this morning. I attempted to put the same amount of energy into both workouts. Here are the basic numbers. Last Night: Time 1:11:44 Max HR:…

Dr's Fat Shaming Caused Emotional Eating
Today, I took my little Cleo to the Dr for her yearly visit. While rubbing her tummy, he called her chubby and said that she needed to lose weight. When we got home, the poor thing went straight for her food. I know she was reacting to his fat shaming. Now I ask you, does this look too chubby:

Pushups Range of Motion: Full Body vs Modified
I am currently having to be careful with certain exercises due to an aggravated rotator cuff injury, so here is my question. . . From a strength perspective, is it more beneficial to do full body pushups with a limited range of motion or modified pushups with a full range of motion?

Dalai Lama too good for Metta World Peace
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1616728-metta-world-peace-says-dalai-lama-wont-tweet-him-back?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=nba I just found it amusing that Metta World Peace is upset that the Dalai Lama won't tweet him back, and says "I guess he’s too good for Metta World Peace". This is the…

Using TDEE instead of MFP Goals
For those that use TDEE for tracking, I'm trying to decide if I should use my TDEE at highly active, since I work out 6 days a week (4 of those around an hour and 2 of those 2-3 hours), or if I should use Sedentary TDEE and THEN add in my workout calories. Any ideas?

Strength Training: Multiple Sets vs Single Set
I currently do 4 strength training days a week: two upper, two lower. I do three supersets of exercises to target each major muscle group, and do 12 reps per exercise. I'm looking for ways to shorten my exercise time, so was thinking about changing to just one superset of the exercises and doing more reps per exercise. Is…

Severe Ankle Sprain
For anyone that has a severe ankle sprain, how do you know when to start doing physical therapy to increase range of motion and strength? And how do you know when you can start putting weight on it again? I've got to get off these crutches!! I've strained my forearm and wrist so every step I have to take with the crutches…

Sitting Cardio - Cardio with Sprained Ankle
I severely sprained my ankle New Year's Day, so needless to say, working out is rather difficult. I've been doing footwork with ankle weights for lower body, abs, regular upper body strength, and Pilates. I've also been doing TaeBo and Les Mills combat while sitting in a chair. I can at least still do knee raises, punches,…
