  • Me too! I still have some laying around in the back of my undie drawer that are a size smaller, so I should be OK for a bit longer. But the ones I usually wear are fancy, and the back of the drawer ones are plain.....
  • Pizza is my weakness. I find that when I eat it, I feel hungrier. I would suggest staying away, or at the very least limiting yourself to a taste and then supplimenting with what you brought.
  • Definitely wean. Just be wary. I tried to cut caffeine completely a couple of years ago, and I slept ALL the time. It made me realize that I need caffeine. I went almost a year without it, and it never got better. I do encourage you to try, I just wanted to warn you that there may be a reason you feel like you need it.
  • Keep doing what you're doing. The "in 5 weeks" is just a calculation that really doesn't mean anything. Also, don't be surprised if you don't lose 2 pounds per week. That is really fast for someone as little as you, especially when you are only trying to lose 18 pounds. Just take it slow and be healthy.
  • Oh dear Lord! I've used that stuff, but never on the downstairs. Only on my eyebrows. It worked really well the first time, and then the second time I tried? No hair came off, but it hurt like hell!
  • I like to remind people of my awesomeness all the time. It radiates off of me, but I still remind them. I think I'm more awesome in real life than online. Except on facebook, I'm pretty awesome on there, too. I think I'm more willing to say wacky things to people that know me well. Sample conversation (I seriously have…
  • I drink one bottle of caffeinated water every day and count that. If it's hard for you to drink plain water, count what you need to to start and work towards fewer caffeinated beverages over time.
  • Sounds like fun, I'll have to try it when I get home from work tonight.
  • I've gotten to the point where I feel a lot better when I look at myself in the mirror... dressed at least, we won't talk about what's under the clothes. However, I had my mom take a couple of pictures of me on Christmas in a dress I thought I looked really cute in. I hate every single shot. I think I look so fat. And I…
  • It's possible that the reason you weren't losing weight before is because you weren't eating enough. I know that sounds counter-intuitive, but it's true. Your body needs a certain amount of calories to survive. If it doesn't get them, it goes into starvation mode, which causes you to gain weight. Keep trying for a few…
  • My best friend got laid off in October. She has a degree in graphic design, one of the most popular majors in college right now, and one of the most difficult careers to actually get into because there are SO MANY PEOPLE with that same degree. She's been working retail part time through the holidays, but is likely to lose…
  • The breakfast sounds a little scant, but the lunch looks good. Maybe add a mid-morning snack of fruit or something. I eat an individual container of apple sauce every day around 10:30 in the morning.
  • I used to always see the same couple, then I Googled Ann Taylor and all of a sudden I get ads for them. I also get them for HRMs and Fiber one, neither of which have I looked at anything relating to.
  • I sort of did that last night. I cooked dinner and didn't really think about what I was making or eating. I stuck with a small portion of meat and filled up on veggies and mashed potatoes. Then I went back and added it after eating, and I discovered that I had done really well. Usually I pre-plan every bite so that I don't…
  • I'm going to suggest talking to your doctor about it. There might be some type of vitamin that you need to get more of or something.
  • I have to admit, I laughed when you said this. :-D People bring a lot of junk into my office at this time of year as well. I have two close co-workers, but about 50 other people that use the copier next to my desk, so it's a hoppin' place. One of my co-workers will come over and say "I know you probably don't want one, but…
  • If you're working out that much, you are certainly gaining MUSCLE which weighs more than fat. And if your clothes are fitting better, then that's great! Do try making sure to eat enough calories if you are exercising that much, you don't want your body to go into starvation mode.
  • If you've had a headache for 7 days, you should go to the doctor. You don't want to risk it being something more serious and not finding out early.
  • I'm the same way! I work in an office at a university, and we did a walking contest in October. The people who did well all worked for the grounds crew or delivered mail. Those of us that work in the offices struggled more. I think that trying to get a walk in on your lunch break helps, and I was also going for a walk…
  • I do my weigh-ins once a week on the same day. I think once a week gives you a good view of exactly how you're doing, whereas once a month doesn't show you "this was a bad week" and such, and therefore doesn't help you learn.
  • If you're eating 1200 calories a day and excercising off 1000 of those, you are not eating anywhere near enough calories. This puts your body into starvation mode, which in turn causes you to gain weight.
  • Instead of the energy drink mixes, try Water Joe - http://www.waterjoe.com/ It's caffeinated water! I used to drink a TON of soda, too. Now I open a can when I get to work and sip it throughout the day (I just love the taste too much to cut it out completely). I can make it last until bedtime! I also start my day out with…
  • I think what you want is My Virtual Model. Try www.mvm.com
  • This is a strange combo, but I love my Celtic Women album and my Sufjan Stevens album.
  • My husband really likes fast food, and I have gained about 100 pounds in the 4 years we've been married. When I started last month, I went to the websits of all of his favorite places and figured out what I could eat that wouldn't push me over my calories. Now when he says, "I'm going to get Burger King for dinner" I can…
  • You look great! This is such an inspiration to me, just starting out. And 87 pounds in 11 months is PHENOMENAL!! Congratulations!!
  • Well, years ago there was "Extreme Makeover" (long before "Home Edition") and "The Swan" which were both plastic surgery shows. "The Swan" even had some kind of beauty pageant at the end. The only positive thing I can say about those two shows is that while the people were recovering from their surgeries, they taught them…
  • oh man, I'm scared the opposite direction. What if I try on my current size and it's too small?! I'm really looking forward to the day when I can wear some of the stuff I've bought online thinking it would fit, but it didn't.
  • My husband happens to work next door to an Aldi, so he frequently goes in and buys their version of Lean Pockets and Doritos to eat when I'm not around. If I cook, he'll eat it, but he also suggests fast food ALL THE TIME! I've had to go through the nutrition info of all of his favorite places to find stuff I can eat…
  • I've only been on here about as long as you, but my mom has been on for longer. She's lost 60 pounds in the last year. She's older than you, though, so it might have taken longer for that reason, too.
