  • That's not 100% true. Caffeine isn't really the issue, it's the foods it comes in that are typically bad for you. I've gone years without caffeine, only to sleep the entire time. Caffeine is a natural substance. I've done a lot of research into alternate sources of caffeine.... As to the question, Tab if you can find it.…
  • 223.3. A loss!!!!!!!
  • ugh. Well, this morning I weighed in at 226.6. Really displeased with myself. I need to get my rear in gear!!! Here goes!
  • Weekends are the worst for me! My parents and I went to Denny's on Saturday for breakfast, and you know NOTHING on their menu is OK for a low cal diet. I ate most of my calories for the day right there. Then I went out with a friend at night and drank, which always makes me hungry so we stopped at a 24 hours Subway. Better…
  • I could toss back Vodka Cranberries to my heart's content. Sometimes I even forget there is alcohol! I don't drink very often because neither my food diary nor my wallet could handle it, but Vodka is definitely the low cal choice!
  • Well, I had 90 scheduled in for the evening, but I guess I can add 10 more. :-D Sounds like a great idea. I didn't notice yesterday's, but that's because I fell asleep stupid early.
  • Rach, you have mad Excel skills. I mean, I can do what needs to be done, but this is awesome. I might try it!
  • So how did everyone do with Day 1 of FABruary? I hit all of my goals, except I only cleaned for 20 minutes. I really had to force myself to workout at all, so I'm glad I did any cleaning at all.
  • Oh yeah! Weekends are pretty bad for me too. That's pretty much the reason I put the not binging on pizza goal on my list!
  • I've come up with a similar list of goals to Rach's. 1.) I will stay within a 1200-1500 calorie range depending on level of exercise 2.) I will prepare lunches rather than just eating cheese and meat everyday 3.) No more than ONE non-home prepared meal each week 4.) Drink at least 64 oz of water each day 5.) Workout five…
  • Have you tried getting in to a general practitioner? They can at least start testing for things even if you do need to go to the gyno as well.
  • Great job!!!
  • I'm so glad you are doing this again, Rach! I tried a few other challenge type things, but most of them wanted too much of my time. I like this because I'm really only competing against myself.
  • My ex left me at the very end of 2010, so we filed separately last year. I got a decent refund, and he had to pay at least as much as I got refunded. Sweet, sweet justice!
  • Yeah, but we didn't have it in our hot little hands to spend. There's the difference. I see it as a form of savings account! So the government makes interest with my money over the course of the year, then sends it back to me to spend on things.
  • Bills.... ugh. Hopefully I get this promotion at work and my finances won't be so bad in the future.
  • I've totally seen full boob in public from a nursing mother. I was about 5 or 6 years old and I'm pretty sure it was the ONLY time I've seen a woman feed in public (though I know my mom did it). I'm not against feeding in public, but I have very strong memories of being surprised by this woman whipping out her boob to feed…
  • Whatever the science behind it, everybody's body reacts different to all kinds of stuff. There are so many factors to gaining and losing weight that it is literally impossible for a group of people with just that one bit of information to tell you what's wrong. If you have serious concerns about it, meet with a doctor or…
  • Yep. Crack'll help, too.
  • Seriously! New posters probably don't know how to use search. And the search function is pretty useless. It drives *me* nuts and I've been on here for over a year.
  • That sounds WAY too early for gifts to me. That said, he did give you something. Maybe a gift certificate for dinner with the added implication that you would go with him. It's like insurance for another date.
  • "Hey, fatty, here's some celery and a gym membership. Now hop to it! Oh yeah, and Merry Christmas." Wow.
  • Well, I've been separated/divorced from my husband for almost exactly a year now. As I was shaving my legs last night, I realized I hadn't done it in three weeks! As to the other bit, well my skin is too sensitive for shaving, so I'm a trimmer. I don't do it as often, but that is a comfort thing for me, rather than an…
  • I work at a university and while lunch isn't free, it only costs $5 and the food is excellent! (no crappy college food here!) Of course I don't know what options you have, but this is what my mom (who works at the same place) and I tend to do. Some kind of taco-ish salad: greens (lettuce, spinach, whatever you like), any…
  • I don't think I know anybody with a name I don't like, but I know a couple of families that named their kids all rhyming names. I have a hard enough time remembering which kid I'm talking to when they're siblings, much less when their names are basically the same! One of these families is now grown women. Their names are…
  • If you open your diary, we can give you helpful suggestions. In order to do that, click the Food tab, then Settings.
  • The morning was hopping, but the afternoon has been really quiet. Next week is going to be pretty much like a deadzone.
  • I laugh to myself every time I hear that commercial. It's so stupid! And isn't it like a Whopper, a Whopper Jr, and a kid's meal or something? Is that supposed to be Daddy gets the Whopper and Mommy gets the Whopper Jr? Doesn't make any sense to me.
  • Also, my family will be re-flooring my house on Friday, so I should get a decent workout there!
