i've had really good luck just eating the amount the app tells me to eat in order to lose 2 pounds a week. it started around 2000, like yours, and it has since lowered to around 1700. i understand the desire to cut it even more, but i think you might be setting yourself up for failure, frustration, binge eating, and more.

I agree with @Loug1983 -- often times (not just when exercising, but when you get further along in your weight loss journey), there is a stall/plateau in loss, and then all of a sudden you'll lose a significant amount (2-7 pounds) all at once. don't give up! i would also suggest that you buy a measuring tape and start…

WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT i can't wait to try it. i am nervous that my parchment paper & cheese habit will become expensive.

Because poor people buy cheap food, which coincidentally is highly processed, high in calories, and full of hydrogenated oils, fat, sugar, and sodium.

Holy crap, you look amazing. Congrats!

reading this, i was literally thinking "oh my god, get out of my head!" because it sounds exactly like something i should have written. i hate things that don't come easy - and with 100+ pounds to lose, weight loss most certainly does not come easy to me. hang in there - we are rooting for you!

hey girl - on 1200 i was able to lose about 5 pounds, but after that i plateaued. i upped it to 1500-1700 a day and now it's coming off more steadily. maybe try increasing it for a week or two and see what happens!

B! i am trying to eat less bread and sugar, but I still eat carbs because i'm consuming lots of fruits and veggies. :) i average about 80-90 a day.

ummmm. your food stamps per month for two people is more than my grocery budget per month for two people. and i pay for my groceries myself. it's possible. lay off the junk, processed, pre-packaged crap and you'll be fine. eggs, oatmeal, potatoes, onions, milk, bread, and various veggies don't cost THAT much.

almost 100 pounds already! you rock! you can do this.
-
you go girl! we are all here for you to cheer you along the way. :)

i weigh myself every day. it helps me focus! and i understand that my body fluctuates, so i don't let it get me down too much. i like the everyday accountability.

oh girl. i do it with 5 lb weights. go as heavy as you can!

take a deep breath. this is not a race. it's a life-long commitment you are making to yourself to create healthier habits. you fell off the wagon for a night - so what? be a little more forgiving of yourself. i doubt you gain any weight at all, except for maybe water weight from all the sodium. get back on track today.…

hi there! you should be at least consuming your BMR. i would change your activity level to "lightly active" for a week and see how it goes. this is a trial and error thing for all of us. the calorie goal that MFP gives us isn't always "the sweet spot" for us. i increased my calories and now i get to eat more, and the…
