Don't push yourself too much and listen to your body because you don't want to risk injuring yourself with a race so soon. Also, lots of people walk or walk/run 5k's so don't at all feel bad if you don't run the entire…

If you don't mind running on a track at least for this time of year, you should check with local middle/high schools or a college. I run at a football stadium at night and the lights are on and other people are always out there as well. I've gone to high school tracks before too. The scenery isn't as nice and your are just…

That is fantastic! Welcome to running! You are indeed a runner. I just ran my first 5k and it was such an awesome experience. I am training for a half marathon in February. I'm up to about 6 miles and every little bit further is such an awesome feat and offers a wonderful high! lol Best of luck with it all.

Check out youtube for exercises. All you really need is your own body. I just did a yoga video I found on there. If you are ever interested in workout videos or light weights or other exercise accessories, there is always tons of that stuff at thrift stores. If you take time to really plan out your meals you can put…

I have a juicer but I hate the clean-up that comes with this one in particular. Can anybody recommend one with easy cleanup? I'd like to juice regularly but not with the one I currently have. It's a pain!

I noticed since I've mostly given up dairy that I'm not getting enough calcium so I've just started taking that. I'm not reaching my potassium either but I'm really trying hard to get that through food as much as I can. Multi vitamin and B-12 as well. Eventually i'd like to get my diet to where it gives me most of what I…
